Welcome to the twelfth annual Southern California Former Adventist Fellowship Conference, “Death And Life”! This year we are meeting in Beaumont, California, at the Fellowship In The Pass Church (FITP) from February 17 through 19, 2017. Senior pastor Mark Rogers, executive pastor Richard Niemi, and the rest of the staff have graciously opened their church to us, and we are thankful to them. About 20 minutes east of Loma Linda, Beaumont is beautifully located in the pass area adjacent to Southern California’s highest peak, Mt. San Gorgonia and west of Palm Springs. We think you will love the scenery. Our speakers this year are specifically focussing on core theological issues of Adventism that warp Adventists’ ability to understand Scripture rightly. Gary Inrig, lead pastor of Redeemer Fellowship in Loma Linda and the pastoral mentor of Former Adventist Fellowship since its inception, will teach from the “new covenant chapters” of 2 Corinthians 3–5. He will teach what it means to be born again and ushered into the “Spirit covenant” described in 2 Corinthians 3, and he will also unpack what Paul says happens to us when we die. Dale Ratzlaff will also address Adventist issues, and he will be the featured presenter for our public meeting on Friday evening. His topic will be “Three Errors of Adventism”. Paul Carden of The Centers for Apologetics Research will also speak on Friday evening addressing the concern of “Adventism In the Mission Field”. We will have break-out sessions, a Q & A session, and times to exchange stories and encourage one another as well as enjoying meals together. There will be faith stories and great worship led by Jonathan Winn as well. Finally, we will gather for church at the new church plant, Redeemer Fellowship in Loma Linda, on Sunday morning. We encourage you to plan now to attend. You’ll enjoy Southern California warmth, green grass, and blooming flowers in the heart of winter. This will be a weekend to be refreshed, encouraged, and to make new friends. We are eager to spend the weekend with you!
