I am always on the lookout for websites that have put the early SDA writings online. It makes our "evidence gathering" so much easier. The latest I discovered is called Word of Truth - Online SDA Books I was specifically intrigued by a listing, "The Glad Tidings", by E. J. Waggoner. The description states,"A study on the book of Galatians, this book shows how Christ has provided the means for us to gain complete victory over sin while here on earth." This is a clear demonstration of how Adventism views Christ as our example rather than our Savior. It amazes me how Adventists today try to give Adventism a "wax nose" and deny these foundation beliefs. They really don't know much about SDA theology! Yeah, the Jones/Waggoner (thanks for posting that so I can spell it right!) "gospel" was so much better. Just trust God and do it all by faith, but you still have to be perfect. Really "Glad Tidings" - and I have an example of this WHERE in a human other than Jesus??? hmmmm. Noah only saved 8 souls, but it seems like Jesus may save even less if this is true. Sondra |
