I was in my Brother-in-Law's SDA Church two weeks ago because he and another member who comes to my Thursday night Bible Study were asked to give a sermon to the younger generation. Well the sermon was on Alcohol, Drugs and sex amongst teens. The message was for the teens in the church to stand up against it and to proclaim the Adventist truth to other teens. Well this fellow who gave the sermon (not my Brother-in-law) has a Myspace account which has all the SDA doctrine and links to Amazing Facts and other SDA sites. He encouraged all the teens to come forward and they are now starting a ministry on Myspace with all the younger generations who use Myspace to reach others with the SDA doctrine. I have been on His Myspace page and it is loaded with Amazing Facts stuff. All about Sabbath, 10 Commandments, Health, etc. I feel I need to start my own page which in hope that I can reach Adventists and allow them to see the Gospel Truth. This friend asked me to join. I have not yet told anyone at my bible study that I no longer believe the SDA doctrine. I know I should, but I do not want to rush it and feel that God will guide me when He knows the time is right. I think I need to take the lead on our study and do one on the Covenants and the Law. It's tough because, I love my Brother-in-law and do not want any tention between us, but I feel each day I hold back I am going against the Will of God and keeping him from the truth. It's going to be hard. Anyone interested in venturing into the Myspace realm to reach Adventists? |

Pnoga, I believe you are under conviction. You have stated that you feel you're going against the will of God by not speaking to your BIL about what you know to be true. Further, you feel convicted that you need to lead out in the Bible study you both are in and teach on the covenants and the law. I can only tell you this: when you are under conviction from God, you will not experience peace until you obey. Furthermore, when you say "Yes" in obedience to God's call to you, then you receive the insight and the courage and the clarity about how to procede. God does not ask you to know how or what to "do" until you have said "Yes" to obey. If you decide to act on your convictions, you may well experience tension with your BIL. That is a biblical probability--at least at first! But if you feel a push to lead the Bible study, I believe that God will open doors and bless you, giving you His authority and wisdom and courage, and HE will deal with people's hearts, nudging them toward openness and truth. God certainly guides you and lets you know when the time is right, but once you know what He is convicting you to do, He asks you just to obey. You have to act. His bidding, as Greg Taylor says, is His enabling. As far as Myspace...God may help you do that as well. It's important to ask God to show you what His will is, but His conviction is compelling, and it always yields peace, not confusion. With prayers for you, Pnoga... Colleen |

Thank you Colleen, Your words have inspired me to go forth with it. Tonight I am holding a bible study at my house with two members from my church (SDA) one member is the head Elder there. So if everyone here can please pray that the Holy Spirit through God's Word can convict these two members and the veil removed so they can see the True Gospel. Thanks, God Bless! Paul |

Dear Paul, Praying here...and I'm also praying for you to experience God's deep affirmation to you of His power and wisdom and His confidence--even if they argue or get defensive. I'm praying that He will open their hearts to the truth. Colleen |

Thank you all for your prayers. Unfortunately the study was cancelled. The Elder couldn't make it and the other member didn't show up. Maybe next time. |

I'm sure that God is working even in the cancellation. God's great at scheduling, just often not according to the schedule we think He 'ought' to be on! Praying that He will continue to guide and work in you, and that the people you come in contact with will see Him in you. Blessings, Mary |
