River, I have made an order for fifty copies of Dale's book and will share them with you when they arrive. Since I don't even live in a town and the nearest "town" only has two churches, I will share them with you as soon as they arrive. I apologize for canceling today's visit down your way. If my memory worked a little better, I would not attempt to do more than one thing at a time, but my medical appointment is something I dare not cancel. Phil P.S. I will phone you as soon as the books arrive. |

Thats O.K. Phil, I fully understand about medical appointments. I will look forward to another time and thank you so much for offering to share the books, I will pay for them though, in the meantime I will try to get the time to count the churches. I think I can get two with one shot as my daughters church shares with the methodist church and so hold their church on Saturday, not Sabbath people it is just that they do not have a church building and the availability of buildings in this area is such short supply. Thank you Phil. All of a sudden I am beginning to feel that I will be able to actually get out and do something. River |

Also, for those who are financially able, exadventist.com is having a blowout sale of the "Seventh-day Adventism - The Spirit Behind the Church" videos--only $3 for the VHS and $5 for the DVDs, while supplies last. You can order them here: http://www.exadventist.com/store/Home/tabid/388/Default.aspx It seems that the video might be a good thing to give to churches along with the "Truth" books. Jeremy |

River, Dale is lowering the price of the "Truth" books for bulk sale. When his supply is gone, he's going to reprint. This grass-roots program of distributing the books to Christian pastors is so good. The personal contact (so the pastors know whom they can call if questions arise), the information--this is what has been needed. Christianity needs to know the truth. As Gilbert said, we need to provide the information necessary to guard people against the SDA proselytizers. Plus, we need to inform pastors and Christians in general so they have some idea how to minister to the formers who tentatively visit their churches...we all know how that feels! Colleen |

I have handed out approximately 20 booklets to date and what I have been telling either the pastor or administrative assistant of the church is that rarely will a Seventh-day Adventist come to a Sunday worship service unless it is for a baptism or special service for a family member who is not Adventist. Because Sunday worship is considered to be the mark of the beast to them it is too threatening. BUT they will consider attending a Bible study (usually in a home) or possibly a social event put on by another church if they are invited by someone. My objective in getting these booklets out is to get written information into these churches so that if one of the congregation happens to either live near or work with a Seventh-day Adventist and mentions it to the pastor then he/she/they have information that they can pass on to their members. One thing that is missing that I hope Dale includes in his next printing is mentioning their TV and radio programs as well as other Adventist related ministries so that people will know that they are Adventist. It is interesting that the reason I chose to do this is because of the Revelation Speaks Peace brochure where they did not identify their church name - only that it was sponsored by It Is Written. I was not impressed and decided to do something about it. Also, I cannot find the words Seventh-day Adventist on the Canadian It Is Written site. Why the secrecy!!!!! Anyway I am looking forward to handing out more of these this next week. Blessed |

I apologize - Dale did mention their TV and radio programs on page 31 under the topic Seventh-day Adventists use deceptive practices. Sorry for not picking up on that sooner. Blessed |

Thank you for that rundown Blessed, I am thinking about forming a Personal letter to the Pastor to go with the packet of information w/ my phone and stuff included at the bottom, however I haven't seen the book yet so I will form it at that time. River |

I am giving the pastors my phone number or email, depending on if they are domestic or in Russia. Always good to let them contact you if need be. When I bought 150 of those booklets, I was wondering if that would be enough. Please get enough booklets people. River, 8 is good, but could you go 20 miles and contact more pastors? Maybe not. If money is tight, I can help buy the books for you. After I am done in my town, I will probably move on to the next town. Seems like pastors and church phone numbers are unavailable during the week, (I have called during the week, usually no response) so I go on Sunday when I know they are open for business. It helps by way of introduction to tell them that I have a very disturbing story! Gets their attention fast! |

Larry, There are only two churches in the nearest town and six in the next town, where I live. One of those is the SDA church which rents from the Lutheran's. So, I will be sharing my first order of books with River when they arrive. I am looking forward to meeting him in person and if he has any possum on the back burner simmering, maybe I can get him to share some. God bless you in a special way today, Phil |

Phil, You must live in a really depopulated area. My town of 12,000 has dozens. And suprisingly, crime is pretty rampant, even with all the churches. You'd think the churches would have some effect. So does possum meat keep longer if it is made like smoked beef jerky River? |

Awesome Larry, I am so excited that you are doing this. I ordered 50 and wish that I had asked for many more. At least this is a beginning. I chose not to put my name in the book because my mom is still an SDA and if she found out what I was doing it would not be positive for our relationship. I have given my name to some of the churches on a separate piece of paper. I also have emailed a number of the churches my testimony so that they can share it with anyone who is interested in reading it or has any connection with Adventists. I definitely plan to pick up more of these booklets at the FAF conference in February. Blessed |

Larry, Possum is best when you first run over it, of course it helps to have reverse gear to make sure he is tenderized, but if your four by four doesn't have reverse as many don't because we wear it out getting out of bogs, then take a 9/16 wrench (from under the beer cans in the bed of the truck) (keep looking its there unless you gave it to your wife for her birthday) and take the 50 lb oversized wench from the front of the truck and just drop on him a couple times, he'll be real tender. (smirk) Thanks for telling how you have shared the books, from each have come good ideas. God bless. P.S. Larry, I tried to smoke a Possum once, but the wind blew the match out before I could get it lit. |

River, you're just too funny. I'm so excited about how many here are getting into giving out The Truth... I believe this is a move of God. The time is right...He has orchestrated this. Amazing. Colleen |

Larry, Yes, things are a bit rural around here. We never had a population so I don't think it has ever been depopulated. There is only one certified organized city in the whole county and that is where the jail and Wal Mart is at. I think we have more possum than around River's place, and, I think they outnumber us two-footed folks. I've never gotten to eat one because my dog doesn't like to share. All kidding aside, I am excited about being able to share Dale's book when they arrive. The SDA people have one of those "Signs of the Times" stands next to the grocery store in town and I have been pondering a counter-response to their propaganda. Yes, we do have a store, that is why we call it "town". Phil |

You could put a "Signs of a Cult" stand right next to it and reel off a buncha flyers off your inkjet, that way when you go visit cousin Joe Bob down at the Jail you could make sure it's full. Just kidding (about Joe Bob) not the flyers. River P.S> I can't help it Phil, Honest! |

Phil, you could watch that sda stand, and when they fill it up with new magazines, you insert a Truth book into each magazine in the pile, so that they will get a "balanced" view! Come to think of it, we have one of those heresy dispensors in town by the post office. I should watch for when they give it a fresh fill of offal. |

Y'all make me laugh! Hey, we've got possum right here in suburban Southern California! One night a few years ago I went outside to see what our collie was exercised about...there was a frightened young possum lying at the base of the fence between our yard and the neighbor's. He played a good "dead"--but I guess it didn't fool the dog. We didn't eat it...Richard was still a vegetarian. We did scoop it into a box and carry it across the street to a vacant lot... Colleen |

Wait a second: are these Signs of the Times free? How about just taking all of them and throwing them away? Jeremy |
