I realize this is farily "routine", but I just have to thank God for the fact that our older son graduated today from Cal Poly Pomona with a degree in computer science. It's been a journey, with a change in majors and a great deal of time spent commuting an hour each direction and half-time work. I just have to praise God for His faithfulness and sustaining power. Roy has become a godly man, and I thank God for His work in his life and pray for His guidance as he establishes himself in full-time work and begins the "rest of his life". The valedictorian of the school of arts and sciences gave a small speech, and he stood up and said he owed his achievements to one greater than himself: the Lord Jesus Christ. We looked at each other in amazement, and applause and cheers went up from various spots around the audience. Then the young man continued by saying he knew many there would say he stood in his position today because of his hard work. He said hard work was part--but only part of the story. He received strength from Jesus. He also thanked his wife for working full time and sacrificing so he could complete his degree. He even said he believed that God had ordained for him to be in exactly that position today as a means to bring Him glory. It was an amazing thing to hear at a totally secular state school...I'm sure it made many faculty (to say nothing of students) very uncomfortable. But God be praised...He honored a true Christ-follower in this way in order to bring glory to Himself at an otherwise godless ceremony. Praise Him—He is sovereign! And I praise God for His blessings and faithfulness to our son Roy. I am thankful that we can trust Him with our children. Colleen |

Congratulations Roy, Colleen, and Richard This had been a week of grads in our family as well. Last Saturday my son Ryan, and this Friday my daughter Shannon both graduated from the University of British Columbia, Ryan in Business Administration and Shannon in English and Anthropology. We are quite proud of their hard work. The Lord has blessed, in that they are both wonderful people. Randy |

He's applying to several different depts at the global mapping company where he's been an intern (and much appreciated for his creative programming skills), and he's also thinking about a couple other options including an international ministry that has a high tech dept. We'll see...I'm praying God will guide him to the job He knows he needs. Colleen |

Congratulations to the Tinker graduate and Randy's children and to the parents. I know how hard we work to help our kids. It always does my heart good to see the kids become responsible Christian adults and do what God has prepared for them. Diana |

Congratulations, Colleen. That is truly a relief for you both, I'm sure, and a great cause for pride and rejoicing. We pray Roy will remain united to and in the "WAY" all his life. Jess |
