I gave my testimony in our church at Wednesday night before last service and as I gave it I saw a lady writing furiously a couple pews ahead of where I sat. I wondered at the time what she was doing. After service was over she came up and handed me this song she had written while I gave my testimony. I had previously asked the Lord to help me to put to words the soul and spirit of what he had done for me. Yesterday she came to my door and handed me the song, completely set to music and including guitar chords. Is the Holy Spirit alive and well or what? Title: Rivers song. (This was the title she gave it, accept for the name change, none of this is my work) I was not out looking for God, but he came looking for meí I was a slave to who I was, I had no libertyí He reached down and touched my soul, he set my spirit freeí The chains fell off; Sins hold was gone; once blind I now could seeí He brought me up and out and over through, safe to the other side; his healing power; his healing love, taught me to abideí In his unfailing promises, his love that knows no boundsí I was not out looking for God, but Iím so glad Iím foundí The wife she had her suitcase packed, the children at the doorí I didnít know much; through the haze, of alcohol I woreí The preacher came and talked awhile, then prayed the fire down!í As good as dead, God gave me life, thank god Iíll wear a crown. Anyway I thought I would share it with you all in hopes that it will bring a blessing and hope that you will take courage to continue to pray for family and friends in faith believing.
