I have been away from adventism a long time, so WHO IS ROBERT J WEILAND??? When I say I have been away from adventism a long time it is because I quit attending church a long time before my name was removed from the books. Because of that I never got the church magazines. Diana | ||

He wrote a book called "1888 re-examined" and a bunch of others. Once my FIL asked me if I was interested in hearing Elder Weiland's paraphrase on Romans and it was the first time (actually the only time) I had the nerve to say "NO WAY!" (Again, I just don't know why the Bible isn't sufficient for these people!) Anway, he's a kindly old gentleman, but make no mistake, he's a Super-Adventist. <g> | ||

Colleen, I thought you'd get a kick out of that. We were visiting the in-laws last night and I heard someone making noise down the hall. At first I thought it was one of my kids, but when I got up to look it was Pastor Weiland coming out of the bathroom in his PJs! All I could think of was "Oh my goodness, that's Pastor Weiland...I can't wait to tell the board about this!!" I was a little afraid that the family would insist that we all go to church and spend the day with him, but thankfully it never came up. Whew! Leigh Anne | ||
