I thought that I'd read this article at the latest online version of the Adventist Review (http://www.adventistreview.org/issue_toc.php?issue=2006-1536) to see what the current official SDA theology is regarding this topic; however it is locked up for members only? This leads me to wonder why it would be locked up? What is secret about it? If the theology is sound, wouldn't they want it to have the widest possible readership? Larry |

Larry, I think it has more to do with wanting the membership to continue to pay the subscription cost (over $50/year for paper, not sure about online) to the Review rather than giving them all the articles on the net for free. It's a publishing business, after all. I think Cliff Goldstein has written a book on this as well...Grafitti in the Holy of Holies or something like that. From what I understand, having not read it, is that he is trying to make a case for the IJ that people might believe. Susan |

Susan, I think you may be correct. It looks like it's only $12.95 to be an online subscriber. Might be only a business decision; however several of the articles are open, but some - like this one - are locked up. Larry |

Good question Larry. I've often wondered why if EGW was theologically sound and truly inspired by the Lord, then why haven't her writings added to the Bible for all to enjoy? Regarding Adventist Review, I'm guessing that the article is about the Sanctuary doctrine? If that's true then maybe the site administrators realize how controversial the doctrine is, and may want to avoid any outsiders coming in to question or argue with them? Just my guess. Leigh Anne

Speaking of adding EGW to the Bible, some have talked of incorporating the two in a paraphrase of both. I don't know whether it's actually made it past the planning stages though. (this was a different effort than the Clear Word). Mary |

I've heard that as well, Mary, and that it is supposed to be different than the EGW study bible, in that the two are supposed to be amalgamated (sorry couldn't resist ). Susan |

Yep! And the assumption is that since their both 'inspired' there should be no problem with it. I'm glad I can trust God to take care of His word! Mary |
