Oh Joyfulheart, If Ellen is correct, then I do believe that would apply. (I don't believe that, btw). My heart aches when I think about those who abuse the members through the offices of the church. It's not just in the SDA church, though. I personally know of a church (SDA) who had an elder which most women in the church would agree, well, let's just say they were always uncomfortable around him and sometimes had to tell him to back off physically. This man has now been re-voted in as an elder, over the objections of some women who spoke to the pastor. I pray HARD for the well being of these women and this church. |
