Here in eastern Nebraska, we are most delighted in having many former and inquiring Adventists in our midst. The Lincoln FAF group is very active. We communicate daily on a Googlegroups listserve to discuss Biblical topics of common interest. We also enjoy occasional social events in private homes. Dennis Fischer |

U2 and Joyfulheart, I have contacted administration to get emails so we can nail down a place and time. I have also contacted Jeff Baron, the new editor of ellenwhite.org (another Michigander) he is very interested in us putting together a meeting. He actually contacted Dirk Anderson who said he would support it... maybe by internet exposure? There are about 8 formers running around here that I am sure would be interested. And like I said before, The formers I would be most interested in are the ones who left God when they left the church. Keep those in mind and invite them when we put this thing together. There is Spiritual life after Adventism!!!! They need to know! |

San Francisco Bay Area, Mid-Peninsula In fact, I live in the community whose claim to fame is that it is ground-zero for folks like Kim Jong Il for aiming their bombs. If you hit my town you automatically wipe out San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, and all points in-between, and you would destroy the research and technology coming out of the companies here. You would eliminate U.C. Berkeley, Stanford University, U.C. San Francisco, and any number of lesser educational institutions, and you would throw into confusion a large number of financial institutions. I'm not a fatalist, but when Mr. Kim Jong Il tested his bomb, my son and I had a discussion about the wisdom of perhaps relocating to somewhere in Kansas. |

Belvalew, Good to see you here again. When I lived in San Francisco from '82-'86 we experienced some pretty good shakers. Some of those born and bred there, had never even been across the Bay Bridge. It seems highly unlikely that the threat of a Nuclear warhead landing in their midst would be enough to motivate them to seek a safer refuge. And then you have to ask yourself the question...Nuclear bomb vs Kansas...for some that question might be tougher than you think!(grin) Randy Ps How's the foot doing? |
