There is a book at ABC called come meet Jesus providing activties for childern and a follow up to use after VBS. She went to the church board to see about purcahsing this for the childern. and the Pastor told her he didnt like the idea because it is too entertaining you might as well take the childern to the theater or the bar. and that the childern should just read the bible..WHAT???? Im still floored by his response to my friend, again Im tahnkful to be free,Dawn |

If you want to go to your other posting try here. If you have trouble getting lost (as I do sometimes) you can always go to the bottom of the 'topics' page and click on 'last day' or 'last week' then you will be able to see all the postings that have been put up recently. So far as the book you mentioned, I'm so thankful that Christianity no longer means 'if it's fun it must be wrong' to me. God is so much better than He's given a reputation for being! Children should just read the Bible? My kids like to read the Bible, but they like other things too. I echo your sentiment Dawn, I'm thankful to be free!!! Blessings, Mary |

Me, too! God's grace and mercy and redemption are more than it's possible to express. I'm so thankful. Colleen |

at church tonight we sang a song that said I'm free to sing I'm free to run I'm free to dance because of Jesus we are free. My friend said every week from the pulpit the pastor never states the adults should only read their bible's,so why would he expect the childern only to read their bibles and sit and be still, and the SDA church wonders why so many youth are leaving?? I'm not a rocket sceintist but it's a no brainer |
