I was suprised as I sat in the college church and looked at the bulletin. The speaker was Clifford Goldstein! His talk was about the judgement and why we should not be afraid of it. He said that traditionally adventists always presented the investigative judgement "without the blood" as he put it. That part made alot of sense to me as I remember my growing up years. What bothered me about his talk was that the texts he used to "prove" there was a judgement in no ways proved the investigative judegement. Which texts show that Jesus atoned for us after his death as opposed to 1844? Anyway he was having a 2 pm meeting but I could not go. I wonder if any other Walla Walla FAF went............ |

Schascóthe book of Hebrews. Remember, it was written before AD 70 (and thus long before 1844!). Hebrews 4:14-16; 6:16-20 (notice especially verses 19-20 that say our hope is anchored behind the curtain where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf); 7:18-28; 8:1-2; 9:11-15; 23-28; 10:8-10; 19-23; Ephesians 1:18-23; 2:1-10; 14-18;3:7-13; Colossians 1:19-23; 2:13-15; 3:1-4; Romans 8:1-4; etc. Colleen |
