Gilbert, After being halfway through his contractual church attendance, the atheist insists that he still doesn't believe in God. This reminds me of the words of Jesus that "...no one can come to Me unless it has been granted him from the Father" (John 6:65 NASB). However, not knowing who is elect, we must treat everyone we meet as potential candidates for heaven. This Chicago atheist may yet hear the calling of God at some future time (e.g., sometime during the remainder of his constractual worship experiment or later).
