I wonder why the church doesnt talk much about EGW heritage? My husbands grandparents who have been SDA for 80 some years just found out when I told them. They had never heard of her heritage before,I would think this would be an important factor to bridge maybe the gap between the white and the black SDA churches. |

I've heard and read some things that suggested EGW had "colored" blood in her. What I read was that this "colored" blood was not necessarily African-American but some other darker-skinned ethnic heritage. I've also wondered about this for several years, and while I haven't personally seen anything that clearly proved exactly what her heritage was, I've certainly heard that she was not entirely Caucasian.
