Chris, We've hit thier site pretty hard in the last few months! So far I think I've downloaded the Galatians, Ephesians, Phillipians and Mark series docs and MP3's! So much to listen to and/or read and so little time! Brian |

Javagirl, I, too, would have a difficult time coming ìoutî if my father was ill. Reading the Bible to your dad and speaking to him of the awesome power of his Heavenly Father sounds perfect to me. You never know how the Holy Spirit is working on his heart as you read to him. You are bearing witness of a sweet, loving, daughterly spirit that can only bring honor to Jesus. Everyone, Thanks for the warm welcome! Chris, Thank you for the link to the Ephesians studies. Evidently this is what I should study next. How do I know this, I hear you ask? Because, as my husband was so gracious to point out when he came home from work, I am currently studying Galatians, not Ephesians. Early senior moment? Brain lapse? Nervous error? I prefer to think of it as the Holy Spirit leading me to my next study materials. Sounds much better that way, donít you think? Kim |

:-) Well, in that case, try this link instead: GALATIANS. This sermon series on Galatians was instrumental in bringing several SDA families out of Adventism here in Lincoln, NE. My wife and I heard this series live at Lincoln Berean Church in the Fall of 2002. It changed our lives! Very powerful stuff! I kept thinking, "Does Pastor Clark know we're sitting out here?" Actually, I don't believe he knew, but God did! Chris |

I started reading Luther's commentary on Galations this week. It isn't a book you can pound through page after page, there are so many deep and interesting thoughts. |

Chris, I'm looking for a good commentary of Colossians. Can you help me? I read and re-read Colossians several times, and I'm feeling that it has a great message for the mentality which was imposed on us in adventism. Thank you Jackob

Thanks Colleen for the statement regarding my dad that "God can guard his heart" That is a great way for me to think of the situation. I know If my dad could speak he would be proud of my studies for truth. I have the assurance that he will be present with us all in heaven, and long to see him whole again. As a note, throughout his prolonged and horrible illness and suffering, several people have mentioned that they have come to a renewed faith as a result of their contact with him. The stories keep coming in. Praise God for bringing something good out of this terrible illness! Please keep my father in your prayers. Chris, once again, thanks for the study links! Kim, "coming out" is happening whether I chose it or not...I have invited several SDA friends to this site. I just cant seem to keep my mouth shut about all the Good News I am learning to whoever happens to be willing to listen. . It seems "sinful" to not speak up or out at times, when God clearly brings the conversations around to specific topics. Please pray for my son, who is in adventist school, to be guarded as well from the inevitable fallout. Last nite he and I had an indepth discussion regarding his memory verse for school "My grace is sufficient for you for My strength is made perfect in weakness"...We talked about what sufficient means. What a rich word! It was awesome, for him as well as for me.... |

Javagirl, Still praying for you! I will be praying for your family as well. What a day of rejoicing that will be when we can see our loved ones whole again and in the presence of Jesus! I can hardly wait, and it will make this journey worth every tear and every heartbreak. Julie |

Dear Javagirl, You and your son are in my prayers. I understand completly your concerns. Both my children remain in the SDA school, too. I strongly believe they are where God wants them to be. After many months of pure panic about them remaining in the SDA school, God has given me total peace about the situation. We have been attending a non-denominational, community church that is very gospel-centered. The kid's program is fabulous. The difference between Bible classes at school and their programs at church is like night and day. In my daughter's Jr. High Bible they read EGW's "Story of Redemption" and then argue and debate what is sinful and not sinful to do on Sabbath. At church the Jr. High kids sit and take notes in the journals with their Bibles open! During "worship" at school, kids (especially the boys) are "embarressed" to sing (it's not cool to sing!). At church ALL the kids are up on their feet, singing and praising God. At Sabbath School kids linger outside the room to talk or stand around and have to be "forced" inside by an adult. Once inside, they sit with their arms crossed, a scowl on their faces or whisper and laugh with friends. At church I never see any kids outside the room roaming around and my daughter says everyone listens and participates. I firmly believe that when our kids are given The Light, everything else is darkness. Let me know how things are going - I feel a kindred spirit with you as you are in the same boat as I am! Content in His unfailing love, Denise |

You can find your posts by going to "Search" on the toolbar on the bottom on the screen. Then put in your name in the "Search For" field and put in "Names of Authors" in the drop down menu for the "Look In" field. Then put in the number of Days you want to go back, and hit "Perform Search". The topics you have written in will show up and then you can pick whichever one you want. I hope this helps! tisha
