After a long two month stint in the NICU, Miss Dakota Riley Wheeler is coming home. She will come home with oxygen for a short while because she caught a case of BPD (Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia). But she is coming home nonetheless. Here is shortcut to her coming home photo. Don't laugh. They snapped the picture and it scared her pretty seriously. Here is the link. http://www.infantxpress.com/depot/20070/announcement/3b92d0987a8763e1d8f7f4e41618632c |

Congrats to all of you. I'm sure the days of sitting in the hospital have not been any fun! Thank God she is healthy and on her way. Children are precious and our time with them is so short. Cherish every moment! (...even the ones you're not sleeping through that you should be.... ) |

Hrob, congratulations! Our smallest was 4 lbs. 10 ounces. Hopefully someone has already warned you that those teeny ones can have a problem regulating their body temp. They have trouble cooling themselves off. So don't plan on taking her on any long picnics for awhile. (We had no air conditioning in our car,and were living in Texas when our son was born....ew!) Bet you have found some absolutely adorable things to dress her in. |
