For those of you who are new and have not gone down the list far enough to read about the Prayer Chain, I am posting a new reminder here. We formers have a prayer chain for all SDAs-from the GC president down to the smallest church in the world. We are praying about the GC session in St. Louis later this month, for unchurched formers, for those coming under the influence of the SDA church through things like the Revelation Seminars, for Christians who think the SDA religion is just another Christian religion. And or course we pray for ourselves that God use us. The prayer times are every Friday evening at sundown in our own time zones and on Saturday afternoon at 1 PM, Pacific Time, 4 PM, East Coast time and whatever the time is in your time zone. We have people in Europe, Mexico, Canada and all across the US praying with us. Matt 18:19, 20 says "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." So, on Saturday afternoon we raise our voices as one to God for our SDA friends, relatives and all the others that they will get to know Jesus and that He is all they need. We ask that God expose what the SDA church really teaches. Do not forget the folks at the R/S web site and those on similar sites. God bless each of you as we join our voices together in prayer. He is so awesome. Diana |

Diana, I thank you for this very important reminder to all of us. Prayer is really so important. I agree with you also about continuing to pray for those on the R/S site. Stan |

What is the R/S chain? The prayer chain is a lovely idea, we are so inclined to "fix" things ourselves. So many of my friends and relatives are cynical about any religion after figuring out the truth about the SDA church--there is a large group of "unchurched" out there for us to prayfor. |

R/S stands for "Revival Sermons" and is a website belonging to a SDA minister named Richard O'Ffill. Several of us had the privilege of posting there earlier this year until we were finally denied posting privileges because they thought we were conspiring to lead people away from SDA into Babylon. Because of that period of Formers posting on a SDA site, we had made some acquaintances with the regular posters on the site. Every now and then one of us will check in to see what they are discussing and will respond to the same if we feel there is anything we can say about those topics. There is a very large thread on this site named "They Pulled A Cut and Run" that contains our discussions among ourselves during the period of time when we were posting on R/S. After we had been denied privileges we started another thread called "Messages to the R/S Folk From the Banned" or something on that order. Whenever one or more of us want to make a statement to the R/S posters who still lurk around FAF, we will post a message there, or we will discuss a topic they are discussing. We believe that, at least for a time, God opened a way for us to state the true Gospel message on a SDA site, and it remains there to this day. That means that sincere searching SDA's who go there to read the older threads on the R/S site will come across the information that we have all prayed over as we posted. We mostly quoted Gospel scripture, or posted our own testimonies. We are still praying that God can reap a harvest from the seeds we have planted at R/S. If you would like to read up on it, please go to the threads by the names I have given above, and you will find direct links to the discussions as they were going on. I hope that will answer some of your questions about the R/S chain. The regular posters on that site seem to be very traditional SDA in their viewpoints. Belva |

Benevento, I agree that there is a large group of unchurched formers out there. That is my family-all my sisters and one brother. The youngest studied himself out of the SDA church and had his name taken off the books many years ago. The oldest brother attends a Messianic Jewish church and has studied the Alpha course and attends church weekly. The youngest does not attend any church. So the unchurched are very close to my heart. Of my sisters, the eldest will have nothing to do with religion and the other 3, still hang onto the SDA beliefs, even though they do not practice Adventism in any way. Adventism still has a hold on them. My parents died in the SDA church so I can do nothing for them now. My youngest brother told Mom about why he left the SDA church. I never heard her condemn him. Here is my weekly reminder for the Prayer Chain. We pray at sundown in our own time zones on Friday. On Saturday afternoon we pray at 1 PM Pacific Time, 4 PM East Coast time and what ever the time is in your time zone. We pray for all SDAs, from the GC president to the smallest church. We pray for all unchurched formers, for those coming under the influence of the SDAs, for those who think SDAs are just another Christian church. We are also praying for the GC session in St Louis later this month. We are praying that God open the eyes, ears and minds of all of these people and show them His truth, that we do not need EGW and that all we need is Jesus. We also pray for all of us in FAF that God use us and fill us with the Holy Spirit in our dealings, especially with our SDA friends and relatives. And we remember the folks on the R/S web site, CARM and similar web sites. There is a text in Numbers that says something about not wanting to sin and neglect praying for others. Well, I do not want to neglect praying for others. I want them to have the joy and freedom in Jesus Christ that I have. Looking forward to our prayer sessions together. Diana |

A weekly reminder for the Prayer Chain. We pray for the following: The GC conference in St Louis The Formers being interviewed for the radio program All SDAs from the GC president to the smallest church All unchurched formers All those coming under the influence of SDAs, like a revelation seminar All those Christians who think the SDAs are just another Christian church Those posting on the R/S web site, on CARM and similar sites I was reading this morning in Romans 8:26-27 where it says that the "Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words canot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will." Let us continue to be prayer warriors for God as we ask Him to bring in the sheep that are outside His fold. God, you are awesome. Diana |

I had a senior moment and thought tonight was Thursday evening, so I put in my reminder for the Prayer chain. My head has been in the clouds ever since Saturday evening when my oldest sister said she wanted to go to the FAF Bible study in Redlands when I am in CA the weekend of Aug 5, 6, 7. I recognize I had a senior moment, so forgive me for posting a day early. Diana |

This is a reminder for the prayer chain for tomorrow and next week. I will be at a family reunion next week. But first I will attend the FAF Bible study on Friday evening, August 5, with my oldest sister, with whom I will be staying. I am more excited about the going to the Bible study with my sister than I am about the reunion. That is because my sister has had nothing to do with God/Christianity/religion for years and she offered to go with me because, in her words, "I am a former SDA too". My uncle, the Catholic priest is coming to the reunion also. So, please remember me in all your prayers. Now the reminder: Friday evening at sunset in our own time zones and Saturday afternoon at 1 PM, PT, 4PM, ET and whatever your corresponding time is. Who we pray for: all SDAs from the GC to the smallest SDA church all unchurched formers-that is most of my family those who think SDAs are another Christian church those coming under the influence of adventism Those who write on CARM/Spectrum or similar websites Those on the R/S website We ask God to send the Holy Spirit to each person mentioned, to teach them the truths found in the Bible and that they get to know Jesus. We ask God to use us and be with us also. Remember where 2 or 3 are gathered together, God is in the midst of them. I am so thankful for this. God does hear us and is answering our prayers. Thank you so much God. You are awesome. Diana |

Dear Colleen, Thanks so much for the prayers for my beloved sister. I am looking forward to meeting you and Richard and Stan and everyone else there. I am constantly amazed how God works. When I mentioned to my sister I was going to the FAF Bible study I was so shocked when she said she was a former SDA and wanted to go also. I knew her attitude about God and religion, so I did not even think to invite her. BUT, God knows a person heart and what they need and when they need it and I am SO THANKFUL FOR THAT. God, I cannot say anything but that you are AWESOME. Diana |
