Last night I went to the church to a singles meeting. After the meeting I spoke to one of the pastors about a small TV I have, a VCR player and a DVD player that I do not need. Tonight when I came home from church I took the messages off my phone. It was a young man from church to whom the pastor had spoken who could use what I had to give away. He and his wife came over and as they walked out the door we were talking about God and church. I mentioned I had left a cult like church and the wife said, "so did I. I was raised Seventh Day Adventist". My mouth fell open. I have found another former SDA in my church. Of course I told her I had been raised SDA also. I told her about the FAF. Apparently her mother left adventism also. I have her phone number and some time this week I want to call her and ask her about her and her Mom. She said they came from a very strict church, where services were all day and they had pot luck at church. I want to ask her more questions. This was not a coincidence. God had this all planned. I wander how many other former SDAs are in my church and in other Christian churches in the valley here??? I just feel this good tingle up and down my spine after meeting this young lady. Diana |
