You know, I listened to Dobson talk about this yesterday on Focus on the Family. He had Terri's father and several others on. I have great compassion for the family. I know they are terribly distressed.

In regards to the government, we have a checks and balance to keep any one individual from having too much power, and though I think it is horrible for this particular case, if all the rulings were the opposite, and Terri's tube was to remain, and the president was against the court's decision to let it remain, how would we feel if he disregarded the court's actions and stepped in to remove it? I appreciate the fact that both Bush men have had the courage to say that while they disagree with the rulings, they respect our form of government enough to let the rulings stand. It is awful for Terri, and I pray that God will heal her on the spot and really shake up a few people, but we can't give the president or a governor too much power or we no longer live in a democracy. I know Terri is a live individual, but the same murder happens to thousands of babies on a regular basis and we aren't asking our president to go against the law of the land and stop those murders. I hope I'm not generalizing too much. I think it is dispicable that Mr. Schiavo (as Terri's aunt calls him) is allowed to remain her guardian long after he stopped acting in her best interest, but we all give up some freedoms for others. Please do not hear me saying I think any of this is okay, it is not. But I do hope we take restraint when wanting government officials to move against other government officials. We would soon have a dictatorship.

My prayers continue to go for Terri and her family. The fact she has remained so many days shows how strong she truly is.

Put some prayers up for the Pope if you will. He needs them also.

Yes, I've read the news and blogs.

This is one of very many.

What a great sin before God Almighty.

We sent the following condolence message this morning to Terri's parents by emailing terri@glennbeck.com (Glenn Beck, a nationwide radio talk show host, will forward all messages to the immediate family):

TO THE PARENTS OF TERRI SCHIAVO:

Our hearfelt condolence in the death of your daughter, Terri. The tragic circumstances surrounding her death raise anew our ethical concerns about those that live at the mercy of others. May this message be somehow comforting in this time of loss. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.

Denise, I am so sorry. I know you felt this battle personally and I'm sure you feel a sense of personal loss, even though you didn't know Terri. I am appalled to read her "husband" wouldn't even allow her parents/family to be with her at the time of her death.

It puts in perspective how fragile life is and how truly little we control. God help us all deal with this in a way that will reflect the character of Christ.

Dennis,

That's a very nice message you've sent. Thank you for upholding the Schindlers and also acknowledging the injustice done in the Unites States of America--to an innocent. What shame I feel for being an american.

With love and respect to yourself and Sylvia,

In Christ, Jesus of Nazareth.

Melissa,

Here's some perspective for you and what you CAN do.

"Rest in Peace, Terri Schiavo

The word "Schiavo" in Italian means "slave." Toward the end, there were those who were starting to compare legal rulings upholding the Florida district court decision to order Schiavo's feeding tube removed to the Dred Scott decision.

Dred Scott was an African-American slave taken by his master, an officer in the U.S. Army, from the slave state of Missouri to the free state of Illinois and then to the free territory of Wisconsin, where he lived for years. When the Army ordered his master to go back to Missouri, he took Scott with him; after the master died, anti-slavery lawyers helped Scott sue for his freedom. In March, 1857, the U.S. Supreme Court, whose chief jsutice was was a former slave owner, ruled that no slave or descendant of a slave could be a U.S. citizen and thus had no rights and must remain a slave. At that time there were nearly 4 million slaves in America."

Read the rest here:
http://www.raggededgemagazine.com/life/deathschiavo.html

And be sure to read the caption of reality in the media circus picture at the bottom of article.

That's perspective in what we CAN have say or some manner of control. It's called the "vote" and "speak out."

Jesus Himself spoke out against the oppressed. So, yes, let us all "reflect the Character of Christ."

Love in Christ, Jesus or Nazareth.

This: "Jesus Himself spoke out against the oppressed"

Should read: Jesus Himself spoke out against those who oppressed others. Or those who "did nothing"--which is the same thing.

Foreverscout,

You stated in part:

"I belong to a country that believes one's worth is tied to their ability."

Thank you for seeing the very truths of truths in this land. May God open the eyes of others as He has for you.

Love in Christ Jesus.

Denise,
I know that you feel this as deeply as I do, the direction that our country is taking with this is very frightening. My oldest son only has a mild case of kt, but when I read all the emails of parents of kt children who are really suffering, I cry. Two kt children have died in the last 4 months.

If you would like to write or chat, (I have aol aim), feel free to ask for my email address. I did go and sign Terri's Memorial Guestbook, I saw you there.

Pamela,

Thank you for signing the Memorial Guest Book. That will bless the Schindlers a great deal!

This case brought to national attention is a good thing as we in the disability nation have been utterly ignored in our plight to have the rights everyone else has. Even the right to food and water. Terri is not the first as I've shown in the very many links above.

And you are right in that this country is and has been taking a very dangerous slide down. Now it's not hidden as it has been due to apathy. The prayer we must pray is that God's will be done for the oppressed. That our Lord will put His Spirit of compassion and justice in our leaders.

Although it is my belief that this is only the beginning of cases that will be heard. It is also my belief that the anti-christ spirit is very active in this land. And there is more I'd love to talk with you about in private chat.

I don't have the aol deal but do have Yahoo and Windows Messenger. And there has never been a time that either one of these has been used by me so my knowledge as to how to work them will take some patience on your part if you don't mind.

However first is it possible to email and perhaps you can instruct me on the use of these real time chats? If so, I'll contact Colleen for your email address or you may contact Colleen for mine. Please let me know. This is very exciting to be able to speak with someone real-time! Thank you for your kind heart towards me.

You see how the Lord blesses me? He is very good to me! My prayers will go up to our Lord for your son.

I'm so looking forward to a conversation. This is a wonderful blessing!

Now, I'll write to Diana, then I'll write to Colleen for your email address.

May God Bless you and your household forevermore. In Jesus Christ Name. Amen.

Love in Christ, our Lord Jesus.

denise
