I have numerous SDA kin and acquances who insist to me that EGW was way ahead of her time regarding health issues. I tell them she came up with nothing origional in the health issue area. Yet, I am at a loss to back myself up. Please, help me out with this. Thanks. | ||

Susan, To state it simply, EGW is and will always be behind the times on health issues. You are right. Not only is their nothing original with her, much of her health advice is outright dangerous!! I also speak as a physician, and their is so much more that could be said. See also the recent thread "hypergraphia", on this web site. For a lot of detail on health issues go to www.ellenwhite.org, and read Dr. Hunt's book online. Stan | ||

I agree Jeremy. I haven't had time to check out that link yet, but does it mention Ron Numbers book, Prophetess of Health, as that is the classic work, and I don't know if it is available on line, but while Dr Hunt's book has a lot of good info, the real documentation is in Number's book.
