Today one of Richard's colleagues said she was half asleep during Jay Leno's late night show last night. He was doing one of his "What Were They Thinking??" routines--you, know, where he holds up various pictures and publications that have some sort of unintentional faux pax or humor and comments on it. Last night Jay held up the September, 2004 issue of Signs of the Times and said, "So Jesus had a LIGHT SABER??!!" The cover of said Signs has a drawing of Jesus and Satan dueling it out with star-wars-type light sabers. The words "War In Heaven" are written there. The worst part is that the Adventist view of the great controversy obscures the sovereignty, Lordship, power, and shed blood of Jesus. He is in no equal battle with Satan.
