This is for all you dog lovers out there. Riverfonz is the official name of our 60 pound black poodle we call "Fonzie". I came across a cute piece on the Wittenberg Gate blog, called, "On Dogs and Grace". Go to www.dory.typepad.com, and scroll down for a short distance until you come to the article. Stan

I tried to get the exact link to the above, but maybe someone else will be able to. Stan

Thank you, Stan. I truly enjoyed reading that. Dogs are such a blessing to the human family. I'd like to believe that somehow God can use me to bless others the way some beloved pets have blessed my life.

Justin,
I am so sorry about your dog. It is like losing a member of your family.
I am glad, though, that you could smile at the article about the dog and God's grace.
I appreciate your posts and especially your support when we were posting on the R/S site.

Justin, I am so sorry to hear about your dog. We, who love dogs know what you are going through. Everytime I play with my dog, I think of how wondrous God is in creating such wonderful creatures, and it reminds me of His Grace. Stan

Awww, Jjustinn, so sorry to hear about the dog. I still miss our "mister moose" that we had to have put down a few years ago. (we truly believe he saw an angel in our house one night.....something was sure making him happier than we have ever seen him, and he was in the dark and looking way up like 9 feet off the floor!) When he died we told our kids that we felt sure the Lord would use him as a pattern for "dog" when He makes the new earth. Critters sure work their way into our hearts.

Justin, I'm sorry about your dog. We had to have two put to sleep within the past six months--It's terribly painful, and we miss them.

It's got to be hard for you to lose a pet you've known basically all your conscious life. I'm sorry!

My wife also picked our dogs name, Raven, for her screen name. The real Raven is a 145 lbs Newfoundland/St. Bernard mix--although no one can tell by looking that she isn't pure Newfie. We have her because my Mom raised by both breeds and there was an accident.

Justin, my heart goes out to you....I had company over the weekend and have not been on the forum. You may have seen we had to put our beloved doberman to sleep last week. It was Monday morning, and the tears ran almost constantly the first few days. My dad's visit over the weekend took our mind off it some, but oh how heartbreaking. We miss him so much. May God comfort you and bring you peace.

Stan,

She is an American Cocker Spaniel. Her name is Polly, and she's 13 years old this month! :-)
