Although I know that Ellen is not a prophet, I still get very intimidated by quotes of hers that talk about those who leave the church. Does this intimidation ever diminish?

Hi Faith2, I'm sure this was answewered elsewhere as well (I'm just going back and trying to read some old posts I missed). Yes, those quotes are intimidating! What evilness, in fact, for EGW to say that if someone doesn't accept her writings it is part of the last deception of Satan...and all those other quotes of the "shaking" out of false believers from the true "remnant". It is more than just nonsence! But the intimidation does go away eventually... The best way for me was to constantly remind myself of Who I am IN CHRIST! Completely forgivin, completely saved, completely within His care! The part that is still a struggle for me is with parents who just can not accept the reality that I don't believe the "truth" of Adventism. Tears and continual words do get me down. I am weary of this. Again, I must remind myself of my real status in Christ...He really is Enough! grace always, cindy |
