Donner. If that's the correct spelling. As in Donner Summit...does that count? Remember the Donner party? |

Yeahhh...good ole Sue.. and thank you Max for counting the Summit too! In that case then I'll have to add Gilmore. As in Gilmore Lake. Both in Nevada and in California. ::::beaming::::: |

Sioux City Sue (once sung by Bing Crosby) Sioux City Sue, Sioux City Sue, Your hair is red, your eyes are blue I'd swap my horse and dog for you, oh Sioux City Sue, Sioux City Sue There ain't no gal as true as my sweet Sioux City Sue. I drove a herd of cattle out From old Nebraska way That's how I come to be in the state of I-o-way. I met a gal and asked her how She said "Indeed I do" I asked her what her name was and she said "Sioux City Sue" Sioux City Sue, Sioux City Sue, Your hair is red, your eyes are blue I'd swap my horse and dog for you, oh Sioux City Sue, Sioux City Sue There ain't no gal as true as my sweet Sioux City Sue. |

and because of such places as lakes are now being counted, then I'll add King Gilmore of Ireland. Now deceased but in my family tree. Although it is not his first name. BUT! My Indian chiefs first name IS Gilmore. :) ::::beaming again::::: |

IDAHO RED There's another folk song named Ida Red, short for (I think) Idaho Red. She was a gorgeous young Idaho mountain girl, barefooted, with fiery red hair and a spirit to match. All the boys on the mountain were after her. But she could outrun 'em all. I can't find the song on the Internet, though. Sigh. I do remember this much: Follered that gal through a holler log, Wound up kissin' an ol' ground hog! |

Hey! Don't forget Cisco Kid! Short for San Francisco Kid. He used to roam the Old West with sidekick Pancho trackin' down real bad hombres. |

And the Durrango Kid! He was from Durrango, Colorado. He was a gunfighter and -- unlike the Cisco Kid -- a real baaad dude! |
