My name is Ramone Romero, and I live with my wife Yoko in Osaka, Japan. I was raised Adventist in Silver Spring, Maryland. Yoko was led to Jesus by going to the Osaka Blue Note jazz club where she heard Take 6 sing about Jesus' love. I originally came here as a SDA missionary (sent from LaSierra), met my wife at the church where I was a missionary. We helped the homeless who lived on benches next to a river near the church, and the church administration gave us a lot of flak about it (yes, there's much sad irony). I returned to LSU (but didn't finish) and the Holy Spirit led me to rest fully in Jesus Christ and know Him as my Sabbath-rest. When I returned to Osaka to marry & live with my wife, I tried helping out at the SDA church but it was too difficult if I tried to be "undercover" (so to speak), so I formally left Adventism. Having her name in their books didn't bother my wife, so she didn't formally leave until last year sometime. Anyway... does anyone know any other former Adventists in Japan?
