Colleen, what about the article on the reverse side of the article you mentioned. The question was, "How does the SDA church explin those texts about not having to observe the Sabbath days, the new moons, the festivals, etc." Did you catch the answer given? The author of the article says that although the SDA church believes in the seventh-day commandment that it is between the individual and God how to follow this, that the SDA church does not hold any superiority over others on how they believe these texts to be understood. And, yes, the lady in the state of the dead article finily sums it up that when she is "sleeping in the grave until Jesus comes" she'll finily get to catch up on her much needed rest. All I could compare it to was the Watchtower magazine. It, too gives a lot of religious teachings with no Bibical understanding at all. Both magazines, The Watchower and the Signs "talk down" to their readers. I wish everyone on here could get a copy of the Janurary 2005 issue of the Signs and read those two articles. Anone who reads those articles can only conclude the SDA church is a cult. Plain and simple. |
