I'm so distraught! I typed up a rather long "thank you" note only to come back the next day and find that it never posted! Oh well, I just wanted you all to know how much I appreciate your warm welcome and encouraging words. I need them! I especially relate to you, Pheeki. My husband (as well as myself) has been heavily involved in the music at our church. It's the best "staying power" I think they have on him. He's a member but has never believed all that adventists supposedly believe ("fundamental beliefs"). But he was drawn in same as I and has not felt thi same convictions as I. I attend church with him still out of love and respect for him, but he is open to me visiting other churches (what a blessing it was to go with a neighbor last Sunday- such powerful and joyful praise music and a sermon filled with grace!) He was very hard on me at first and very angry and even now we can't talk about certain things, but we have overall peace which I just praise God for. Please keep us in your prayers. Our children are almost 6, almost 4, and 15 months. I'm homeschooling for now and I don't think my husband will ever push the SDA school system, thankfully. I think time will heal all of this, but I am concerned that if he can never let go of this doctrine entirely, things are going to keep resurfacing. But I trust GOD'S timing and GOD'S grace. That's the only way to describe how it happened for me! | ||
