I would appreciate your prayers; I'll be quitting my teaching job in order to spend the needed time on Proclamation and related activities--including more prompt replies to FAF emails, etc.! I feel a great need for God's grace.
I praise Him for being sovereign and for being our all-in-all!

My prayers are with you, Colleen. I know that must have been a hard decision to give up your teaching. But when God sends you a specific direction, it's so exciting to see him work. I just sent in my name to receive Proclamation about two weeks ago and I'm looking forward to receiving my first copy.

You know, after fighting with B "alone" in my personal studies and constantly being told I wasn't correctly or seriously studying the Bible or I would have reached SDA conclusions for nearly 2 years, discovering proclamation was truly a calm in the storm. Until I discovered it and the "red books", though I was strongly convinced my study was both accurate and sincere (and most definately opposed to SDA conclusions), I had so many attacks and almost began to distrust my own spirit's leading. Now, I anxiously await Proclamation and, even as a non-SDA, enjoy the thoughtful studies presented there. Sometimes I read articles and am reminded of the Lord's leading in an earlier study and am so thankful for the affirmation. Sometimes I go back and read old issues as I have become more educated from some of you here and they make sense where they may not have the first time I read them.
I know some of the letters to the editor are pretty raw, so I will particularly pray, Colleen, that God protects your heart and gives you wisdom to discern legitimate challenges from traditionalists protecting their position at any cost.
I think Proclamation is a great resource and hope it has a long, fruitful future. |

Proclamation is a publication of Life Assurance Ministries, Inc, which is a non-profit organization Dale Ratzlaff founded. FAF is a sister ministry to LAM.
Flyinglady, if you email Dale Ratzlaff at dale@ratzlaf.com (notice only one "f" in Ratzlaff in the email address) and send him your mailing address, he will add your name to the list. As of next summer, Richard and I will take over managment of the mailing list, etc.

Praise God! I finally got that "Sabbath in Christ" and in package there were one Proclamation, too.
I want to thank from the bottom of my heart Spokenfor.
I started to read the book and have already read whole Proclamation. What a wonderful journal!
Seeing you name there were a moment of proud ¥cause I thought: "I¥ve discussed (here in forum) with her and she has such wonderful attitude and love toward her friends."

This issue of Proclamation! has to be the best one yet. However, I tend to say that about ever issue but this one is exceptionally interesting because of the article about the Questions on Doctrine book. So, am I to conclude a new edition of Questions on Docrine has came out? Are the ABC's really pushing it? They sure are pushing their Greffiti book, seems like that book gets a lot of advertising space in the SDA magazines. |

I'm not sure the ABC's are pushing the book, but they are selling it. I bought one there before Christmas, but it took Steve really to study it and compare it with the first one. I do believe that Steve's article is important and revealing.

Are all areas receiving Proclamation copies at the same time? I signed up a couple of months ago and I've not received one yet. I'm really looking forward to it. Ordered a book and video from LAM this week too.

Colleen I was so excited to read in my last Proclaimation of your new position. I very much respect and appreciate your point of view on this website. Proclamation is a wonderful ministry and so-o-o needed. I read mine cover to cover the 1st weekend I get it! Thank you for the sacrifices you are making to advance the Gospel and God's love to so many who so desperately need it!

Hi everyone! I just got my Proclamation today! Does anyone else get as frustrated as I do with the "letters to the Editor?" Just wondering, this issue's seem more bizarre and discouraging than usual to me.

I do! I just sit with my mouth wide open in complete disbelief at the tone and condemnation. How is that the love of Christ? How is such a tone going to win someone back to your way, even if you were right? And it makes me think doubly about what I put in writing. Lord, always make me your instrument..... |

Until I joined this forum I did not realize how hateful an SDA can be. When I read what SDAs have said and done to some of you who have left "the Church", it leaves me with a very bad taste in my mouth. The I read "Proclamation" and the letters to the editor. I have to remember that they are human beings and are not perfect. They are still God's children and God does not want any of them to perish. So I pray for all SDAs, that they will come to understand what the Bible really says and it will not be through EGW's eyes.
BTW Colleen, I really like Proclamation. thank you so much.

Last night I received an electronic greeting card from a devout Adventist (sender's name was not disclosed). The background music was very dynamic. It was a lengthy, scolding prayer for me to return to Adventism immediately. It had a vague, nameless identity with it so that it would be emailed to me. Apparently, this person felt that I had an impact in exposing Adventist heresies. I regularly receive scolding email messages as well. The tone is always very arrogant and condescending.
On another note, ever wonder why Adventists prefer to be EXTINCT during the intermediate state? I think this is largely related to their not having eternal security in Christ. Being that the investigative judgment has not yet cleared their names at death, this in effect buys them more time. This is a way of putting off the inevitable--their eternal consequences for good or bad. If one is not certain about his salvation, then putting off knowing what fate awaits you would be somewhat comforting and less scary.

Where I attend church on a regular basis is a man who is around 60 years old that I would consider had been raised what I call Super SDA. He hated it so as soon as he graduated high school he joined the military and got him a new life far away from his SDA relatives. He then married a Lutheran, found out Christianity can be wonderful and has been very active at St. John's for years. At the Bible study one week someone asked if there was anyone in the group who had been raised in a church that didn't teach geace. This man said he was raised SDA and didn't have a clue about grace until he started attending church with his wife. He then mentioned that instead of grace the SDA church teaches the Investigative Judgement. Someone asked what that was. He told the group that it is purgatory only instead of after death like the Catholics believe the SDA's call it the Investigative Judgement and it is while we are still alive but the really scary part is that the people going through it don't even know it. These dear Lutherans sitting in the class got all shook up and were just so relieved that they didn't have such a scary belief. |

Thank you for your comments. I have said before that even as an SDA I did not know the doctrine. When I was in school, I studied for the test, got a good grade and passed the test, then I forgot every thing. So I have forgotten the doctrine of the IJ and lots of other things. But I can see, now, why a person wants to buy time. What a sad condition for them. I was not sure of salvation until I gave up the SDA doctrine and started studying the Bible for myself.
I am just finding out about grace.
I am so happy that I now have many sisters and brothers in Christ. I am surprised as I talk to them about Christ. It is a different me. Until I was born again, I could not talk about Christ, only the "Sabbath". I was one of those in a very sad condition. Thank God I am no longer there.
We have an awesome God.
