To All: Help! All of you seem to be in some sort of a way be going though, or experienced what I am at this time! I am a former Adventist, SDA Reformer. The Baggage is so heavy. It is mentally, spiritually, and emotionally draining. Please pray for me! My E-mail is : dbrando@bellsouth.net. Many people I love dearly are in the established " Large class " and also in the SDA Reform Movement. I am really angry in side because of the deception, and the time wasted on all the study in the little " red books". It is tough when you wanted so bad for all this to be real, but then found out that you had been deceived! Anyway The long dresses, the 1888 look, the beards and the control techniques of the " Elders" and upper echelon just never did jive anyway. please reply today! |

Bamboozled--I am praying for you. Why don't you ask Jesus to help you set aside the incredible frustration you feel (and you feel it with good reason) for a while, and read the Gospel of John? Just open your heart to His Spirit while you read. I think you will find the incredible truth of Jesus' light and life and love to be healing to the deep wounds you have. Healing doesn't happen fast, but it does happen. He is faithful to us, and he says, "Come unto me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (Matt. 11:28-30) You have been deeply hurt, and please know that the people on this website will be praying for you. I'm so glad you had the courage to write! Jesus will lead you to himself and to peace. Lynn, please send me your articles to my email address at tinkerc@aol.com. Thanks so much! Colleen |

Bamboozled, as a fellow Bamboozlee, I would add to Colleen's wise words, and my prayers, this bit of advice: be absolutely real with God about how you feel. He will not be blown away by any expression of anger, doubt, hate, despair, etc., from you. For a while, it will not be pretty, but it doesn't get any sweeter if it stays stuffed, and it's such an energy drain. I have a very long way to go on this myself, but I think finding out I could be real with God probably saved my life. Best wishes. We're in this together. Love Maggie |

Just a thought. Shouldn't the name of this thread be "WAS EGW ....", instead of "is"? The last time I was aware, she is still in her tomb, unlike the one whom we REALLY serve! HE's alive.....She's not. That about says it all. |

Dear Bamboozled: I understand that you are feeling hurt and angry for the time wasted on all your former studies. Just be very thankful for the time you have left to get to really know Christ. It is a fact that those who have suffered most are best to comfort others who are passing through suffering. The Lord WILL not only heal you but WILL use you to help others like you. Our goal should be to learn all we can from what we are called upon to endure, so that we can fulfill a ministry of comfort to others. "Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted"(Hebrews 2:18) |
