EGW was repulsed by ALL aspects of, or any form of sex, period. All indications point to the fact that she was not a participant in any form of "Good Times", whether it was straight or gay or self abuse. To claim that she had a torrid mental or even physical affair with anything human, because of some vague and poorly structured sentence in one letter, is to make a point from nothing. Can we prove she ate and loved oysters? Yes. Can we prove she had visions from mercury poisoning and brain damage? Maybe. Can we prove she was gay? No! Can we do harm to the movement that is proclaiming the truth about Adventism by saying she was things she was not? Absolutely! The SDA-EGW Historical Society . |

J the O: The word "prove" is subjective, however I could suggest you read her testimonies, for starters. If you wish to save yourself about a zillion words and the better part of your lifetime, try reading "A solem appeal". Have you read that book? It is one of their first (James & Ellen) and one of their finest moments. It should be required reading for every SDA. The SDA-EGW Historical Society . |
