Sabra, Carol and I had a nice time sunday at a gathering with some adventist friends. She was able to sit in her wheelchair for several hours, feed herself, and is moving both arms and even beginning to walk with a walker at daily rehab clinic she attends. Hopefully she will be able to walk at home soon as well. She still can't read, and has trouble with focus, so I will pass along your message--and appreciate your continued prayers. Come vistit us sometime! Thanks to God Almighty and those of you who have been praying for my tax situation. I got an approval on my appeal, after only 3 weeks, and at the exact time (within the hour) that I needed it for divorce stuff. Im told a positive response is very unusal--But God is good about moving mountains. , especially with prayer warriors going to work! Hugs, Lori |

When I was diagnosed with pre diabetes my fasting blood sugar was 134. It should be between 45-99. This morning my blood sugar was 88. Thank you God for helping me as I cannot do it by myself. Also, my clothes are fitting a little looser. God, you are awesome. Diana |

More Answers to prayer. My ex was operated on a week ago. When he was opened up the doctors had to do a quintuple bypass. He made it through with flying colors and is okay. What my son told me when he called me is that he hopes his Dad stops smoking now. So do I. Thanks for all your prayers. Diana |

Diana, you are truely WEIRD . . . but then I guess after meeting you at the FAF reunion I should already know that. <grin> <tongue firmly in cheek> I'll try to practice a loud WAHOOOOO so we can do a duet next year at the conference. <grin> I just noticed my WAHOOOOO is shorter than your WAHOOOOOOO, I'll work on that as well. Dear friends, This last weekend I was able to share part of my journey with some dear friends at the our local SDA campmeeting. I spoke with a couple of SDA Pastors who are no longer in the ministry. One pastoral couple were clearly dissolutioned by their treatment by the conference they had ministered in for the last 20 years. They have been out of the ministry to a couple of years and were still detoxifying. They don't know what they will do next and are now having to address the theological challenges as well. Another former Pastor while still wholeheartedly remains SDA is struggling with the IJ doctrine and all the challenges of this quarters SS lessons. I shared my concerns and understanding along with Elder Cottrell's paper and Cultic Doctrine. My prayers continue to be with these friends. Another couple approached me and said they had heard I had made some changes in my life. I was able to share a piece of my journey out of organized Adventism into the joy of unfettered grace. They were sincerely interested because I suspect they like many, have many questions and are getting few answers regarding the unique doctrines of Adventism that cannot be readily supported by Scripture. These discussions were an answer to prayer and were initiated by the people I spoke to. I was glad I was there to share. And look forward to seeing how God will continue to lead. Thank-you all for your continued prayers, Randy |

Randy, isn't it amazing how, once we take our stand firmly with Jesus, He brings people across our paths to whom He wants us to speak? I've heard many people remark on this same phenomenon. One of my friends has said to me, "No one EVER came to talk to me about religion before. Now, I meet people by "chance" and people bring things up with me, and I have the chance to talk about my experience leaving Adventism and finding security in Jesus." It's amazing how God orchestrates these things. I also think it's amazing that God confirms His call to us this way. The argument so many of us have heard or even have lived by in the pastó"Stay in the church and make a difference from the inside"óis proven weak and useless on THIS side of the decision to leave. More people ask us about our journey, our beliefs, our understanding of Scripture after we have left than they ever did before. I believe that for each of us, God's timing directs our leaving. When we walk in obedience to His Spirit, He confirms our actions and opens up witnessing and ministry opportunitites that we would never be able to arrange ourselves. Praying for you and yours, Randy... Colleen |

Randy, I am awed by how God answers our prayers. Your witness will have some influence on the people to whom you spoke and God will do the rest. Like you, I believe that God's timing directs our leaving for each of us. I pray each of us is open to when God has opportunities for each of us. You are awesome God is all you do. Diana |

God answers prayers and I am so glad. My youngest sister, who lives here near me, went on an Alaskan cruise last week. While on the ship, she bought some rings that were on sale. Now, this sister would not wear any thing except a wedding ring when she was married and an occasional necklace that her children or grandchildren gave to her. So her buying this ring tells me she is relaxing a little bit from her SDA upbringing. So I thank God for every small sign/thing as well as for the large ones. Diana |
