JavaGirl, I completely relate to your experience of speaking and discovering truths as you were speaking them. That experience is such a deep and impacting thing. God really did arrange this experience for your benefit! He also used you to deliver His truth to those who heard you. What a wonderful confirmation of His call and His truth in your own life. Praise God! Colleen |

Almost a year ago, I mentioned a prayer request for a friend of mine. She had two girls in crises and because of distance, I knew little other than the 17 year had run away and was on drugs and the 12 year old couldn't walk. Today, I received a wonderful email from my friend.... The then 17 year has just graduated from high school after completing a 7 1/2 month residential drug treatment program. She found out about the program "unexpectedly" and also got a scholarship for it. She never could have afforded it otherwise. Her 17 year old had completely blocked out her father's death from 4 years ago as she worked out issues through therapy, she was finally able to begin to heal from that tragic loss. The 12 year old has a conditon called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, and though I don't know much about it, she woke up one day and was paralyzed. It took almost 6 months before she could walk again and she missed an entire year of school. She was able to play basketball this fall and continues to make progress. These are wonderful answers to prayer and I know God provided the miracle for residential treatment for the older girl particularly. Donna had searched for months trying to find anything, but her insurance would only cover a couple of weeks. I am so thankful that what has to have been a horrible year seems to be finally turning around for them all. Thanks again for your prayers! (Message edited by melissa on February 15, 2006) |

Please join me in thanking our gracious Lord for bringing my nephew home safely this past week. He is a sergent in the US Army and was serving his second assignment in Iraq. I thank the Lord for answering the fervent prayers of our extended family for his safety. I had prayed that the Lord would use him and all the US soldiers to accomplish good things in Iraq by their service there, and I look forward to hearing his story, once he is free to tell it. |

Oh Honestwitness, I really understand you when you talk about your nephew. I am so glad and Praise God that he is home safe and sound. The person in my family in the military is my son, my only child. He was overseas 5 times in 2 & 1/2 years. He is a navigator in a C130 Hercules. I pray every day for all the men and women in our military. Praise God for your son's safe return. Thank You God. You are always awesome. Diana |

The forum is back up! That's an answer to prayer. I'm so thankful! Also, this farm has a new 'member of the family.' A beautiful little foal was born tonight with no complications - unless you count that he too FOREVER to figure out where to eat, even tried my hand out before finding milk, the rascal. That was an answer to prayer as well, since we just lost the other brood mare we had and her foal. God is so good! Blessings, Mary |

Mary, I praise God with you that the forum is back up! I also praise God that He who's eye is on the sparrow had His hand in that foal's birth. And since I think you said you live in Kentucky, just maybe you might have a Kentucky Derby winner! Stan |

Richard, thank you for explaining the down time. It made me realize just how 'addicted' I am to this fine group of people. I was starting to have withdrawals today! |

Ah, thanks for the explanation Richard! Riverfonz, LOL! Nope, probably not a derby winner, but he will most likely be a HUGE docile work horse. His parents are Belgians, and he already stands higher than my waist. |

I asked for everyone's prayers about a part time job doing something I really like. Well, folks, thanks to all your prayers and the prayers of my sister, MLB, I got the job. According to the owner of the company, it will work into a full time job and I will be able to set my own hours. Thank you God for all the people here on FAF, for the prayers of my small group, and for the prayers of MLB. Thank you for leading in my life. I know I resist sometimes, but end up saying okay God, I give up, you do it your way. Thank You God for your awesome care of me. Diana |

Marti and I are praising God tonight for His faithfulness and healing touch through the miracles of modern medicine. Marti had her Bionic ear, or Cochlear implant on Mar. 3, and today we waited anxiously as the device was turned on to see if it would work. At first, there was great disappointment as the sound was awful to her ears, but with further adjustments we are highly encouraged. There is a long way to go in this process as it takes time for a bionic ear to adjust, but already the drive home in the car today was so amazing, as I did not have to shout at her, and we could carry on a conversation in a normal tone of voice. It is enhancing the hearing she has with her hearing aid on the right ear, and already we are praising an thanking God for enabling her to get this device, and for His ongoing healing. Stan |
