I do not remember if I told you about my passport. I had applied for one, then a month later Katrina hit Louisiana. I received a post card from the state department saying my request was being processed in the New Orleans department and I would not be getting it because that was closed. So I had to send off for another original birth certificate and received that on Saturday, 17 Sept. On Sunday, Sept 18, I went to my mail box to get Fridays and Saturdays mail. In it was my PASSPORT!!! I need it for ID purposes on my cruise. So I am so thankful to God for getting me my birthcertificate and my passport in time for my trip. To some this may seem small, but to me anything God does to answer my prayers is cause for rejoicing and I have to share it with everyone. Again, God has shown me how awesome He is. Diana |

Diana, That's really fast service on your passport. Where are you going on your cruise? Has your son ever been to Bellows AFB? |

Susan, I am going to the Mexican Riviera with my oldest sister. We are leaving Sept 25 and returning Oct 2. This is the sister that went to the FAF Bible study with me in Aug and went to my sister church on that Sunday I was there. My son has been in Hawaii, and I am sure he has been on a AFBase there somewhere, but I do not know if there is more than one. Do not call me between the dates above as I will not be home from Sept 23 to Oct 2. Pray for me and my sister. Diana |

We were given a huge tent to live in. We are staying at a campground while my sons save for an apartment. The man who gave it to us saw us living in our car. The text seems almost new. The man still had all the packaging that the tent came with, the box, the whole thing. We have a beautiful spot. Several hundred feet from the shore with the mountains behind us. You know, I could live in a campground for my entire life and be as happy as a bug in a rug. We are so blessed. |

Anybody notice the emergency landing in Los Angeles? it was a perfect emergency landing! Right down the center stripe on the runway. The newspeople who were covering the landing asked for a few moments to pray that God would bring it in safely just as the plane was reaching 10 feet above the ground. All of the people are safe and even the plane will be fixable! I'm so thankful! Mary |

Yes, Mary--I saw it. The ironic part of this story is that this same plane has had this problem with improperly-retracting landing gear twice before! Praise God, though, that everyone was safe. Colleen |

I have no idea what you are talking about. Please, let me know about the plane and the emergency landing. It sounds like a very interesting story. Did it happen today? |

Colleen and Stan, and others, Our prayers were answered in behalf of the Covenant Pres. Church pastor, Randy Martin and his tele-conference with his prodigal daughter, Kari. Praise God for the mercy He bestowed. While I do not know the details, Randy and his wife, Julie, said that Kari was open and receptive during the hour and ahalf, plus telephone conversation. She has agreed to three counseling sessons (not sure what all that means, or with whom). She had dropped seeing a Christian counselor. So she may have agreed to see the Christian counselor again (?). Not sure what spiritual seeds Randi endeavored to share with his daughter or anything of their conversation; however Randi and Julie wrote a "thank you" e-mail to me (I have yet to tell him I passed on the request to a Former Adventist Forum for prayer); and one answer to my specific prayer was that Randy remained calm throughout the conversation and his spirit feels at peace following it. I identify with his emotional pain and burden as we too, have a prodigal daughter, the burden for, brings tears on a regular basis as we pray for her; so I knew Randy needed to be blessed with God's peace; as carrying such a burden is almost suffocating at times to one's spirit - - the pain, concern, care, burden for a child to experience genuine repentance and surrender is at times an awful burden to carry and at times creates great frustration over the relationship. So a real answer to prayer is the calm Randy felt during and following his conversation. He tells us she has not only slipped away from her Christian-upbringing (mooring) and is adrift; she has been living with a boy friend, and is in a deep depression and uncontrollable anxiety attacks - all combining as a mix that could explode at any time. Thank you all for your caring concern and your prayers in their behalf. It is very heart-warming to hear of your sincere interest. God bless you, In praise and gratitude, Jess |

Praise God, Jess--I'm praying now that she will be open to truth and that she will allow God to soften her heart to Jesus and to embracing His disciplining love. I'm praying also for her parents to have great wisdom and insight and discernment, and that they will be able to surrender her eternal security to God. Colleen |

Hi Jess, Praise God for that report! I am confident that the Covenant God we serve will bring Kari and your prodigal daughter back to Himself. I will continue to pray for Kari and your daughter. I am posting today from a library here in Bullhead City Ariz. and was happy to get your praise report. Stan |

Well, it's been a long time in coming, but Rachel started a new school this year, and it has been a wonderful blessing. The teacher is obviously trained in special ed and has been night and day to the experience of last year. Also, her foster family has agree to keep her through age 21, which means a consistent home environment for her. She is still retarded and still has many issues, but at least she's in a positive educational environment and is finally happy going to school again! |
