Clinton Arkansas SDA church is having a "prophecy seminar" with Laurie Dewitt as the speaker tonight, Saturday night, Sunday night and Monday night. The meetings started last Friday and they had one last Monday night. My sisters tell me that a lot of people came the first two nights and there is a lot of interest in the upcoming meetings. Please be in prayer that no one will be deceived by this nonsense, that eyes will be opened that this is a cultic denomination. |

Interesting, my wife's family is from Clinton and she was a Baptist who led me out of Adventism after I tried to get her to join the church. Her vision was clearer than mine. She has a gift of decernment that is astounding. Her grandmother who is now in heaven, went to the Baptist Church in Clinton, of which she was a member, and also attended the SDA Church there on Saturday. Remember, the old hymn "God leads His children along, some throught the flood, some through great trials but all through the blood." God is in control and all we need to do is trust Him and pray. |

Here in New England those prophecy meetings have become rare. I don't even remember the last time I went to one, and I only stopped attending SDA church last year. I do hope that those people won't join the SDA church now. It really is a cult. |

Clinton church usually does one of these "prophecy meetings" every two years or so. It's always the same scenario - just different speakers - the first few nights will draw a crowd of maybe 50 to 70 people, then gradually it thins out to church members and 3 to 5 non adventists at the end. There will usually be a few baptisms as the result of these meetings. |

The deal with these Revelation seminars is that they are going on everywhere. Here in So Cal there have been billboards along the freeways advertising local meetings—never saying they are Adventist, of course. Interestingly, this year is the year the SDA organization is sending out millions of copies of The Great Controversy in languages from all over the world. They are intentionally blanketing the world with these books and planning intensive evangelistic campaigns in the major cities of the world in 2013 accompanied by lay evangelism schools so the local laymen can follow up and continue the evangelism. We all need to do whatever we can do locally to inform our Christian pastors and friends about the reality of Adventism. I recommend the Rose Publishing brochure, 10 Questions and Answers on Seventh-day Adventism as one of the best tools for teaching Christians about the cult. They are available online here: http://www.rose-publishing.com/Search.aspx?k=Seventh-day%20Adventism I believe we all need to be willing to speak and answer whenever we have the opportunity. Colleen |
