Check out forum member Rick Barker's opinion piece on the SDA stance on abortion. Comments are beginning to roll in. Agree or disagree? Please leave you comments at the blog site. http://blog.lifeassuranceministries.org/2012/01/24/the-sda-pro-choice-stance-is-about-sunday-laws/ |

Thanks Chris, I simply can't fathom how a group that considers itself commandment keeping could so plainly ignore the 6th commandment. Have they become so enamored by the 4th commandment that nothing else matters? |

They dont keep the 4th either. If they did they would have to "put to death" anyone who broke it. They also break the First, since they make an IDOL of the 4th. |

Exactly, Skeeter. Rick, Richard totally agrees with your thesis. He's heard his father say anti-abortiion is "Catholic" and sets up Christians for the Sunday law. Colleen |

I remember when the religious right first started gaining political power. The rallying point for bringing such a wide variety of churches together was abortion. And I recall SDAs proclaiming this political ecumenicalism was a sure sign that the end is near. SDAs fight everything that they believe is fulfilling their own eschatology (because they fear the end times), so it is not a stretch to think that they fight against the religious right because they see this group as their mortal enemy. |
