In my new series called A.I.M. I break down both Adventist and other false doctrine into simple bits and show how to refute incorrect doctrine.

In the first episode I tackle something very familiar The Investigative Judgement.

I have viewed it and thought that it was great. I realize that they (SDAs) concotted this idea because they made the mistake in Christ's second return in 1844. It would've made more sense if they would've acknowledged their mistake instead of a made-up teaching. I guess their pride had gotten in the way.

One could say that just like the Scribes and Pharisees liked their positions of authority within the hierarchy...and Jesus came and took away their power.

Those in power in the many religions of the world, especially legalistic religions want to keep the power in their hands no matter what.

Even denying The Word.

The investigative judgment doctrine is apologetic. It is Adventism's apology and explanation for their failed 1843/ 1844 date settings, which of course was a huge embarrassment.

What is particularly heinous about the teaching is that it flies in the face of one of Jesus' verily, verily statements:

"Mot assuredly I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes in him who sent me has eternal life and shall NOT come into judgment, put has passed from death unto life." ~ Jn 5:24
