This is a video of a sermon preached by Ivor Myers at the ASI Convention in Sacramento the weekend before last. ASI is the organization of independent SDA businesses that functions as a HUGE fundraising machine for the Adventist organization. They determine where they want their $$ to go--millions, actually--and they always fund true-blue SDA projects and missions. ASI is tight with the GC presidents. This sermon is an overview of the Great Controversy worldview. Ivor Myers ends it by explaining hell. God is a consuming fire, he says, and references the burning bush and Moses. He further says that the saved (and in context he is talking about Adventists) are the ones who will burn forever. Forever they will be with God who is a consuming fire...but they will be "fireproof". He said it is they who will burn forever, but the wicked, who are not fireproof, will be consumed. He states that the devil has twisted this doctrine in evangelical Christianity, reversing the truth. The saved, not the lost, will "burn forever." Ted Wilson also spoke at this convention, and he was historic Adventism all the way, even saying that they needed to call people to become true believers of the 3 angels' messages who would have the seal of God declaring Him to be Creator God--the Sabbath. For a long time Adventists have been backing away from the "seal of God" designation, saying the Sabbath is the "sign of the seal of God" [because they know the Bible says the Holy Spirit is the seal]. But Ted went right out there and called Sabbath the seal of God...as he should, because that is what EGW clearly teaches. Here's the Ivor Myers sermon...this seems to be the year of the great controversy...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffjqQ8YIPMA&feature=youtu.be Colleen |

What does anyone know about Ivor Myers? I goggled his name and came up with a blog that appears to be his? http://theirmanygods.blogspot.com/2009/08/ivor-myers-was-right-adventist-brother.html A link was on that blog to an article on Clifford Goldstein. http://theirmanygods.blogspot.com/2009/11/cliff-goldsteins-anti-adventist-cult.html This blog posting is so rambling and disjointed I'm not sure what to make of it? Does anyone have background or info on it? Aside from it's accuracy the writing is almost scary if it is in fact from him. I was wondering if it might be a blog put up by someone else? Richard |

I know he was a rap artist. He was in a signed rap band when he and his brother were indoctrinated into the Adventist church, from there it was a downward spiral. |

Colleen, Wow. Well, I guess the non-Adventists get off easy, since they get to be annihilated. Meanwhile, the Adventists have to spend eternity with their gods in SDA "heaven"--I would call that eternal torment for sure! Jeremy |

Ivor Myers is pastor of the Templeton Hills SDA church between Paso Robles and Atascadero Ca. about 30 miles from where I live. My daughter and her husband who was raised in a very traditional SDA home attend his church. I went there a couple of times several years ago while still a SDA. They often have "revelation seminars" etc. |

One day several months ago I was in Wal Mart in Paso Robles. I was standing near the front of the store talking to my daughter who just happened to be there shopping at the time. Ivor and his young son and daughter came quickly through the door and went through the store rather quickly giving handouts for an ongoing series at the church then left just as quickly. Sneaky was all I can say ! they know good and well they are not supposed to go through stores and hand out literature which is why I am sure they got in gave out as many as they could and then left before they would be seen and asked to leave. They happened to give one to my husband who was also in the store. My husband was raised SDA but he didnt know Ivor was a SDA, he said the man just walked quickly up to him and asked "are you a Christian ?" my husband said "yes I am" and he was handed the paper and left standing there with no further communication. My husband was raised SDA but this happened so quickly he had no idea Ivor was SDA till I told him what they were doing there. Hmm I think I can make up meanings of bible texts and leading questions just as good as this guy can. Do I need to still go to SDA Seminary? |

~I just listened to as much as I could stomach of this man's sermon and then commented under yours, Wiredog, "FALSE Teaching BEWARE"!!! Sometimes I think that too many people are just "HELL-Bent" on believing `FALSE Teaching'~in whatever form it takes~ the darkness of this world deepens~the GOOD NEWS is the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST~ The 'LIGHT of the World'~ ~mj~ |

You know I take back, my comment about SDA Seminary. People like Pastor Mark, Dale, Greg & Ben M. went through SDA Seminary and learned good basics. I know that from talking with Pastor Ben M about Greek and Hebrew that it is hard work which I have not mastered. It is specifically the SDA theology, eschatology, soteriology and what ever other else "ologies" I despise. (Message edited by wiredog on August 17, 2011) |

The more I learn about the true gospel of Jesus Christ the more I fall in love with Jesus....however on the other hand the more I DESPISE Seventh day Adventism. You know since I've learned the true gospel of Jesus (grace) I find myself waking up every morning with such an incredible sense of GRATITUDE. Some mornings its just overwhelming! lynn |

This is actually really good. Now, if only the *CHRISTIANS* would pay attention. Seriously, how can they teach that all Christendom will not be saved without the 3 Angels message, and that we all have the mark of the beast and worship Satan, and STILL be called Christian?!?!?! I want to sky write "Arise Body of Christ and contend for the faith!" They still wouldn't get it though... God's timing is perfect. I have to believe that He is sovereign and there is a reason the SDAs get away with this. The wheat and the tares perhaps? Sigh... It makes me want to cry... ~Wiredog~ I have received via my e-mail account two unfavorable responses to my two comments regarding the Ivor Myer's sermon on YouTube~ May I ask if you have received any comments? It seems the promoters do not appreciate any feed back they consider 'negative'! ~mj~ |

Mj--I've made some comments on a select few SDA youtube videos, and I've received veiled remarks back suggesting that they would "do something about" my postings if I continued posting. |

~Wiredog & Mkfound~ Thanks for answering my question! I am use to 'negative' comments from people concerning my beliefs regarding 'egw' & anyone else that proclaims 'Messenger' status! This was just my first time at 'You Tube' ! ~mj~ |
