I have been approached by someone who has heard about the Freedom Singers. They are a number of men from Romania who escaped. I believe that they have a background in Adventism. They presently live in Kelowna, B.C.Canada. Has anyone heard of this group and what do you know? |

They seem very popular with the SDA churchs and have crossed over to the mainstream country gospel circuit http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Freedom-Singers/127255969368 http://www.freedomsingers.com/new/cont.php their website gives no obvious link to SDA but the story of their reason for escaping Romania has a definite clue.... |

I found out that they are members of Rutland SDA church in Kelowna and are active in the church there. A lady from my congregation facebooked Simon and he would not divulge what denomination he was associated with. I am sure that the guys have an amazing story but why can't they just admit that they are SDA. |

Deception and secrecy become a lifestyle without realizing it. Those who live in darkness become comfortable with the darkness and start avoiding the light. So many SDA activities hide their identity that these little deceptions just start to seem normal. |

so true Ric! I remember taking some of the academy kids out on a Saturday afternoon for them to pass out videos. The church elders checked the videos to make sure "Seventh Day Adventist" wasn't listed on the cover anywhere. I asked them why... they said that they didn't want people to not watch the video because they had a preconceived idea about adventism. deceptions... secrecy... vivian |

You know, if I believed that Seventh-day Adventism was God's remnant ark of safety in the end times - and that we are in the end times - I would be shouting from the rooftops "Come into the SDA church because its almost too late. You're worshipping on the wrong day, and eating the wrong things and the pope is the anti-christ." I wouldn't be putting my money in prophecy seminars. I'd be doing the big stuff - newspaper ads, TV and internet commercials, billboards everywhere etc. I would WANT people to know who we are! The problem is all the people who know the truth would come out and publicly refute it (with the Bible and the Bible only) and Adventists lose. Adventism would be exposed for what it is. Somewhere down deep (or perhaps not so deep) they know they are being deceptive. The end does not justify the means! Jesus was NEVER deceptive! Paul was never deceptive! God is all about TRUTH! God would never have someone follow Him because they were tricked and misled into the church! Deceiving those who do not have a good knowledge of the Bible using proof texts is all they have. Secrecy and deception are now their means. How utterly sad Jesus must be that people who claim His name have resorted to trickery and deception to get people into the church. |
