The New Covenant...what a concept! As an SDA I didn't even know what it was--don't remember ever hearing it taught. I believe the current teaching in Adventism is that it is the 10 c's moved into our heart. (I never noticed what Luke 22:20 said, either. "In the same way, after he took the cup, saying, 'This cup is the NEW covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.') If the old covenant is moved from one place to another, it is still the old one, it's just been moved. If I move my old car to a different parking spot, it does not make my old car any 'newer'. Only if I get a new car, is it 'new'. So the current SDA argument makes no sense at all to me. |
