I just received this email; it actually was sent about 7:12 PM PDT: I would like to let you know that Vicki passed away approx an hour ago. On behalf of her family and myself we would like to thank you for all the prayers of encouragement and support that she received from you and her friends on the forum. I am sure that they were all a great help to her in her time of need. Thank you again for everything and God Bless. I'm going to send her friend who emailed me a link to this thread so her family can read anything you'd like to say to them. I want to say that I loved Toria and was blessed by and grateful for her prayers and wisdom. I will continue to pray for you, her family. I miss her.. God is faithful; He wastes nothing, even the deaths of His saints, and He redeems everything—even the disorienting losses—that we submit to Him. He is close to each of you, and He offers His comfort and peace to you now. We grieve with you and thank God for having sent Toria into our lives. If anyone here hasn't read her story, you can read it here in Proclamation: http://www.lifeassuranceministries.org/proclamation/2007/6/victoriasjourney.html With love, sadness, and prayers, Colleen |

I am so sorry to hear this. In fact I am crying now. As a fellow Canadian, I felt a certain bond with Victoria, and always appreciated her smile and kind words. I will miss you Toria. Randy |

I look forward to meeting Victoria face to face in the new heavens and new earth when all sorrows are past away. She has certainly lived up to her name. Always pleasant and 'upbeat' in spite of all her personal tribulations which are as nothing compaired to the joy of knowing her Savior. She seemed to focus mainly on the needs of others. On Facebook, she posted a special picture of her and her husband overlooking the Atlantic. On her last email, she invited me and my Jan to come there and experiance the view even though she wouldn't be there in person. Her kind words reached deep within me. Your loving brother in Christ. On August first I received a letter from Toria, she had gotten to the point where she could only sit at the computer a few minutes. She had shared with me some time back about how, in some of her roughest and darkest moments she would open the forum and something that I had said would make her laugh and make her feel better. She shared with me in this last letter about sending a little care package to her brother, and that she had sent my two books along to him. She loved her brother so, and I am asking this forum family to take up where she had to leave off and pray for him. That was Toria, always thinking about the welfare of others. I was so afraid that she would not be able to read my last book before it was finished and bound, but she read it while in hospital her last 18 day stay there. I will be altering my book today in her memory. It overwhelmed me that she was using her precious time she was able to sit up, that she would use it to write to the likes of me. I felt very much that it was a final letter. I will keep that letter in my Bible. Toria was a precious gift in an earthen vessel. I know I will probably shed tears later, but for now I feel such an overwhelming peace. I will miss her. I have dreaded this day. I think of all the times on this forum that I have been so discouraged and one of her little notes lifted me up. I am reminded of the song this morning “It will be worth it all” I want to share the words of that song. Oft times the day seems long, our trials hard to bear, We're tempted to complain, to murmur and despair; But Christ will soon appear to catch His Bride away, All tears forever over in God's eternal day. Refrain It will be worth it all when we see Jesus, Life's trials will seem so small when we see Christ; One glimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase, So bravely run the race till we see Christ. Sometimes the sky looks dark with not a ray of light, We're tossed and driven on , no human help in sight; But there is one in heav'n who knows our deepest care, Let Jesus solve your problem - just go to Him in pray'r. The privilege of knowing Toria and that I have played a small part in her life, and I have to say “Yes Lord, it has been worth it all.” Toria is in Gods eternal day; she loved all her forum family. I know that in these last few days that we were in her thoughts and prayers. River |

I was very touched that even up until the very last, she was posting here that she was praying for us. It was very humbling and she was a sweet presence here at all times. She will be greatly missed, but I am so happy for the gain that she has now received - to be with Jesus. Sondra |

When I saw the title of this thread I knew what was next. Tears came to my eyes as I started reading. I will miss Toria and her pleasant, happy attitude toward life. I can rejoice with her that she is now with Jesus. What a wonderful place to be. Death is so hard on the ones left behind. I am praying that God sustain you and hold you as you go through this painful experience. I thank God for Toria and her time on this forum. God be with you. Diana L |

Oh Bethany! Oh Bethany, You wore the robe of life for all the world to see. You chased the shadows with your smile relentlessly. So uninhibited your joy, you set it free. And now your face is all aglow, Oh Bethany! You're walking in your true eternal destiny. You've moved beyond all childish whims and fantasy. Only your bonds were burned up in your tragedy. And now your face is all aglow, Oh Bethany! --"Bethany," by Charlie Dodrill, a eulogy to a woman of Jesus. |

I am still fairly new to this thread, so I did not get to know Toria as well as I would have liked, but I did see enough of her on here to know that she was an AMAZING person. With all the pain and trials in her own life she took the time to come on here and share with us, to let us know she was thinking of and praying for US. Very humbling indeed. I thank God for her heart of love. She surely did keep the Commandments of God to Love God with her whole mind and heart and she loved her neighbor as herself (if not more). As we here feel a great loss... I know all of Heaven is celebrating Torias entrance. And I am so relieved for her that she is no longer in pain, but is giving that beautiful smile to Jesus and is being held in his loving embrace. I am looking forward to someday meeting Toria face to face. |

I will surely miss dear Vicki! My heart goes out to you, her family and friends. I'm sure there are many of you. Vicki always, always, asked me to remember you all in her prayers every time we communicated. Especially her dear husband, as I know you sacrificed so much of yourself to care for her and take the long trips back and forth for treatments. I wanted to share a part of an email exchange with her, it was from back in February. I hope you will pass it along to the "friend" who she refers to. Hi Lori, .....I also have a friend who has been with me during every treatment. She makes me laugh during the worst of times. She is one of the blessings in my life that I give daily thanks for.... I know she has told you all what you have meant to her, but I wanted you to know she spoke of your love and care and kindenss often. She mentioned that you had another loved one, her dear brother Pat, that you also lost to cancer a few years ago. She expressed to me that she hated that you all had to go through pain and loss again. Her hearts desire was that you know the peace and love that you witnessed her experience throughout this ordeal. My heart grieves with each of you, and my prayers will remain with you. Much love, and thanks for sharing your beautiful Vicki with all of us. Lori |

Toria's beautiful spirit radiated God's love to all of us when I'm sure that many times she wasn't feeling her best. What a blessing she was here in our forum family. I look forward to meeting her in Heaven when the time comes. My prayers of comfort go out to her family and friends ~ In His love, Leigh Anne |

Toria's sweet presence will be greatly missed on this forum. It never ceased to amaze me how often she would reach out in prayer for others, regardless of what she was going through or how she was feeling. She had a deep love for all those around her, especially her family. I am praying for them to be able to experience the deep comfort and peace that Toria had. With tears and sadness, I write this. But I also know she is in great comfort now, in her Maker's arms. I can't wait for the day where I can give her a great big hug in Heaven! Blessings, Grace |

With heartfelt condolence to the family of Toria, We will greatly miss Toria here. However, she merely changed addresses. In consideration of her physical suffering, it would be selfish on our part to wish anything different from what our sovereign God has arranged. Truly, earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. Toria was always very encouraging to me, especially when my own mother was going through treatments and ultimate death from pancreatic cancer. It's a fascinating thing to see how someone you've never seen in person can touch your heart and life so profoundly and so deeply. She was gracious and kind in her postings here. She taught me a lot about grace in adversity. Peace to her family in this time of loss. |

I didn't know Toria because I haven't been here long, but I was inspired by her story in Proclamation. I'm so sorry that she was sick with cancer. Can't wait to see her in heaven where there will be no more pain & illness! |
