Has anyone heard of and/or read the Book of Jasher as referenced in Joshua and 2nd Samuel? "Is not this written in the Book of Jasher?"--Joshua, x. 13. "Behold it is written in the Book of Jasher."--II Samuel, i. 18 I was introduced to it recently and read some of it. All I can say is "Wow!" It gives a lot of detailed information about Adam/Eve, Noah, Abraham, Joseph, etc. For instance, did you know that at the age of ten Abraham (in order to escape death) was sent from his home to be raised by Noah and Shem for 37 years? Pat, The Book of Jasher has been lost, and none of the books claiming to be "the Book of Jasher" that are currently in existence are the actual book that the Bible is referring to.
