In my new article I discuss Eisegesis and Exegesis, the Sabbath in Genesis 2, and the difference Christian rebirth brings through a passage in 2nd Corinthians Chapter 4.

Adventism is Clearly Not Christian

Hope you find this helpful and to the point!

Ross, thanks for sharing. I believe you are reading your own words into the passage, however, as Genesis 2:2 never uses the word "Sabbath". The word used is "rested" which is the Hebrew verb, "shabbath", and not the noun "shabbat". Quoting from your article:

"By the seventh day God completed His work that He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work that He had done. 3 God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, for on it He rested from His work of creation.

Using proper exegesis we discover, the word for Sabbath here is NOT an action/verb but a noun. Also you don’t have to look very carefully to note that these 2 verses are about GOD and what he has done or is doing."

The article could be written in a way that communicates more clearly and accurately. Have you done any serious reading of theological works by Protestant scholars and authors such as D. A. Carson, Bruce Ware, Sinclair Ferguson, John Piper, John MacArthur, R.C. Sproul, etc? If not, I would highly recommend that you immerse yourself in those works for a while, to learn their methods of Biblical interpretation, expression, clarity of writing style. It would perhaps open up a larger audience to reading your articles.

God bless.
