Two sets of media that have come out in the last couple of weeks which this board may find interesting: 1) A seminary instructor makes observations of SDA doctrine here (note some of the comments, at least one of which came from a current SDA pastor) http://www.tms.edu/preachersandpreaching/evaluating-seventh-day-adventism/ http://thecripplegate.com/10-questions-about-adventism/ 2) No Compromise Radio host talks about SDA doctrine: https://nocompromiseradio.com/episodes/2015/11/06/the-cult-of-seventh-day-adventism-part-1/ https://nocompromiseradio.com/episodes/2015/11/13/the-cult-of-seventh-day-adventism-part-2/ |

Thank-you so much for sharing the "links"~! I happen to receive the "Cripplegate" email everyday and was pleased by what the writer had to say today about Adventism. However, like most "Christian" writers they do not go far enough (IMO) in their warnings about the SDA's. It is rather hard for them, because their research has for the most part been self-limiting, however it is a Start! The precipitation of this interest is due, for the most part (IMO) to the interest being shown in Dr. Ben Carson, as a potential president of America! IF this is what it takes for exposing the "Doctrines" of the Adventist church, so be it~ "Buyer Beware~! ~mj~ |

I agree that the glaring heresies in these presentations don't fully reveal the really insidious way that the gospel is undermined by SDAism. The more I look around at SDAism, the more I see a lack of glorying in the cross of Jesus Christ and salvation by grace through faith alone. |

I am so glad that God opened our eyes to the deceptions of Adventism. When I was an Adventist I thought only Adventists really understood Hebrews. Once I God removed the veil from my eyes, I realized that NO Adventist understands Hebrews as Hebrews shows all major Adventist beliefs to be lies. |

Lettlander, I agree. The longer I am "out", the more devious and dark Adventism shows itself to be. It is a masterful deception. At the core, Adventism does not love the cross nor teach what really happened there. Adventist salvation is not by grace through faith ALONE. They may say the words (although seldom with the "alone" at the end), but they mean something different in their heads. The Lord Jesus is overwhelming in the reality of who He is...and that reality just continues to deepen and increase. Colleen |

I encourage formers to go to the Gospel Coalition link above and post comments. This article completely misses the deviant worldview of Adventism including the false view of man and of Jesus. Without dealing with these two things, the teachings of Adventism can seem mildly off without showing their true cultic nature. In addition, the author quotes frequently from Ken Samples, a Christian who used to work with Walter Martin and has since persisted in considering Adventists to be Christians. Samples has appeared on the platform during services at LLU Church and has persistently refused to speak with any of us from Life Assurance Ministries and has refused also to engage in conversations about Adventism with his former colleague Paul Carden from the Walter Martin days of Christian Research Institute.
