Do most if you think that we are judged for rewards |

I agree with what the previous posters have said but would like to stress the Bema Seat is a judgment of the acts of the righteous, for those who have surrendered their lives to Jesus, 1 Cor. 3:12-15 & Rom. 7:21-25 which in reality means our righteousness is really Jesus' righteousness. The promised rewards, or possible lack of rewards, is secondary to simply knowing you have Jesus in your life. Fearless Phil |

I agree. The passages Phil cites show exactly what he explains. We have a "law of sin" in our flesh that remains until we are glorified, even though our spirits have been brought to life when we believe in the Lord Jesus. So, our judgment for rewards described in 1 Cor. 3:10-15, is a time when Jesus determines our "rewards" (which are not defined) for the works we did in our flesh as believers. The passage says that we are rewarded for the works we do as believers which are works based on the foundation of the gospel of the Lord Jesus. As I understand this, as we submit to Jesus, submitting our desires of the flesh to Him, He will show us His will for us. As we do the next right thing and walk in the way He reveals to us on a daily basis, we will do the works which "He created in advance for us to do" (Eph. 2:10). We are able to do works of the flesh as born-again believers, but because we are born again, we are not doomed to doing works of the flesh. We have a choice now, to submit our fleshly desires to Him and to do His will--or not. Our judgment for rewards will reveal which of our works done in the flesh (done actually by us in real time) as born again believers were works building on the foundation of the gospel and which were not. In other words...Jesus rewards our works which we did in submission to His will. And yes...if we are born again, we will be saved even if our works do not survive (see 1 Cor. 3:15). Knowing Jesus is the one requirement for eternal life! Colleen |

Breaking free from under that dark Adventist cloud of the so called investigative judgment, I hold tenaciously to Jesus words in John 5:24.. “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life." |
