Thalarian, is this the verse you're refering to? “For behold, in those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. And I will enter into judgment with them there, on behalf of My people and My heritage Israel, because they have scattered them among the nations and have divided up my land, and have cast lots for my people, and have traded a boy for a prostitute, and have sold a girl for wine and have drunk it." Joel 3:1-3 God told Abraham that whoever curses him (and his descendents through Isaac are included with that, which would be Israel) that God would curse that person. That's in Genesis 12:1-3. Israel is a people that God miraculously created through Abraham and not through rape. He created them to be a blessing to the world and that the Messiah would come through them and He has. God foretold that He would bring Israel back into their land in Ezekiel 37. |

Also I would like to add that Lot was Abraham's nephew and not even in the line of his descendents that became Israel. The Arabs were also Abraham's descendents through Ishmael. So neither group were Lot's descendents. |

A must-read article from a SDA publication: http://archives.adventistworld.org/issue.php?issue=2010-1002&page=11 The article didn't mention the other thing that SDA and Muslims have in common - that is that the SDA's do not accord the full title and deity to Christ as God. From what I have read in other sources don't Muslims consider it blasphemous for calling Christ God. |

Yes, Muslims think that Jesus was just a prophet. |

I live in a community with many Hare Krishnas. Unlike Moslems who will say Jesus was a prophet the Hare Krishnas will say Jesus was and is turly a manifestation of the one and only supreme God, that God will come in human form to earth as needed. So, its hard to wittness to Hare Krishnas because they will agree with the Christians that Jesus is God. |

Yes, exactly my thoughts. It's the Muslim extremists that we have to worry about, not the RC Church. It hasn't made headlines lately, aside from the usual sex scandals/abuse. So much for Sunday Law. LOL. But of course, SDAs hold fast to their belief that the RC Church will eventually cause trouble and what's been happening re: Muslim terrorism is just a prelude to what the RC Church is going to do. Asurprise, your point is well-taken. If she knew about "end times", she wouldn't have missed the horror that is being visited upon Christians by Muslims today. So SDAs IMHO just kind of ignore the fact that hateful things are being done to Christian men, women & children RIGHT NOW in the name of Islam. Revelation 20: 4 describes those who have been beheaded for the "testimony of Jesus Christ" (and that ain't Ellen White!). Two of my SDA step kids have expressed how dangerous Islam is, but once we sent them a link to Dwight Nelson's little speech about Allah, & what we have read in SDA publications, the result is total silence. No response. The remnant church & Ellen must be upheld at all costs. I kind of thought it would make them think & reassess. |

However, God is in control & we pray that at some future time God will pull them out (possibly kicking & screaming!) of Adventism so they can have the joy of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. |
