I just got an email from Adventist Today. Nile Adventist Academy has been evacuated and the local Moslems are protecting the SDA's and their property from pillaging and distruction because the SDA's have proven their worthiness to getting protection from the local Moslems Isn't that like going to your local gang members to keep your house from getting burglarized? |

Wow! The Muslims are burning Christian churches in Egypt, but protecting an Adventist church? Something is wrong with this picture! I looked it up in the internet: http://news.adventist.org/en/archive/articles/2013/08/21/nile-union-academy-volunteers-evacuated-ahead-of-protest-marches/ |

Yeah, the protectors are in front of the SDA church in full protection mode. Really some far out stuff there. All because of their shared abhorrence to pork. |

That's creepy when you figure that the devil will very likely get all his false religions together at the end. It sounds like SDAs and Muslims are already doing that! |

I know most of you have probably read this, but it bears repeating! http://www.adventistworld.org/article/708/resources/english/issue-2010-1002/adventists-and-muslims-five-convictions Interesting how "god" gave a vision to Muslim leaders that SDAs were A-OK, huh? Neither group indulges in pork, alcohol or supports Israel. And the SDA writer of this article is the same man that Walter Martin debated on the John Ankerberg show years ago...if anyone has not watched that debate, it is eye-opening! |

So this is why my cousin threw the Adventist belief at me with the article above on the connectedness of Muslims and Adventists. I myself mentioned to him that a church being saved by Muslims could mean anything since other Adventist churches were burned. However it appears to me now that I have read the link to the second article above that Adventists will sell out themselves and intertwine with the Muslim beliefs thinking they are giving the gospel to Muslims and saving them! If there is one thing that Muslims hate it is not how a Christian lives (although sadly many so called Christians out there live a lifestyle that is not godly) more so for Muslims it is that we as Christians' hold that Jesus Christ is the son of God. Not a prophet, not a messenger but God himself in the flesh. It is telling to me this side of SDAism that there is not a mention of Jesus in the article "Adventists and Muslims: Five Convictions" other than his soon returning. No mention of Jesus as the risen savior fully God not a mention of the gospel, only the story line of a returning Jesus. All world religions from what I understand have a prophecy to them of a return of their God. If the Adventists taught Jesus Christ and Him as the Son of God, fully being God, there would be no connectedness to Muslims no matter the lifestyle choices being the same or not. It is my understanding that what irks Muslims is that according to them there is no other God but Allah, rather than being a different name for God the father or not, they cannot have Christ as also being God. |

Quote "Adventists have the following advantages over other Christians in taking the good news to Muslims: The place of the Scriptures. We base our practices and beliefs on the Bible and the Bible alone. This devotion and loyalty to the revealed Word impresses Muslims, who look to the Koran as God’s revelation." All a Muslim would need to do is take a look at SDA literature and see that it is full of EGW quotes or take a look at the 28 beliefs and see that the SDA church does NOT hold to the Bible alone as EGW is a "continuing authority" |

Exactly. The actual fact is that Adventists really don't believe in the Jesus of Scripture. Their Trinity (or should I say "Godhead") is a tritheism rather than the classic Christian Trinity. Ellen White called it "the heavenly Trio" or "the three Worthies of heaven", and in 2006 Jerry Moon of Andrews Seminary wrote a paper showing that Ellen's "heavenly trio" is REALLY the correct trinity, not the Trinity of historic Christian belief. Ellen holds the trump card. Always. As Enoch alluded above, their Fundamental Belief #18 says she is a "continuing and authoritative source of authority." Colleen |
