Talk about playing with fire. This person seriously lacks respect for God's word!

I have been looking around on Adventists blogs, FB pages and other sites today. This one I couldn't pass up sharing.

Dear me was that bad.

I actually skipped a bunch and then went back and finished reading it all and it was as bad as I'd thought.

I'm having trouble articulating my thoughts but I'm at a loss as to how people could find that good.

As a Christian writer I'll just finish for now by saying, "If you put words in Christ's mouth they'd better be Biblical".

Unfortunately, this reminds me of the 'Bible story lessons' I was asked to teach
when I taught in one of the 'sda' elementary schools.

I had recently 'left' the adventist church, spiritually, but had not left physically~
I hope that some of you out there understand the situation I found myself in?

Be that as it may, that school year I made sure the school bought and paid for
an 'NIV' translation of the Bible for each one of my (32) students~
Each student was able to underline in it and take it home at the end of the school year!

I followed the curriculum guide for the lesson only as far as the
Bible text from which the lesson was taken.
The students and I read and discussed the lesson from the Bible and the Bible~Only~!

We had a wonderful time! In fact, this time in the morning became our 'favorite'!

I think the students learned far more, because the origin was 'Truth' from GOD's Word Only!
It was not 'twisted' with writings from Ellen G. White, and faulty human imagination!
Also, the lessons(which the teacher was suppose to read to the students)
were written much like the 'stories' that are on the link in the 'Free2dance' post #700.

No one (in the administration) knew I was teaching the students
in this manner~

I decided after this particular year I could no longer teach
in an adventist school. I was too compromised.

Lots of guided imagery in that story with n unbiblical story line. Guided imagery intensifies the retaining of whatever is read or heard. Very scary that this is written for children.
