Down the street a half mile from where I live is a large Adventist church on its own acreage. It has a beautiful setting on the banks of the Cowlitz River. Unlike most Adventist churches it has a cross on the top of the building. It is a large sprawling complex nestled between the Cowlitz River, with a mountain behind it. On the side of the road just before the entrance to the complex are large signs laid out along the road reminiscent of the old Burma Shave signs that used to dot the side of the American highways. The signs advertise their ‘Safe Christian School’. I don’t have any way to find out, but I can be somewhat confident that evangelicals enroll their kids in that ‘Safe School’. That is the wolf among the sheep, wrapped in wool. Behind the false face stands the snarling hungry dog, saliva drips from its snout as it anticipates a meal. A child is a tender morsel. The wolf salivates as it looks out over the town I live in, it hunts silently for its victims and stealth is it’s way of life. People will not listen to me when I tell them it is hungry for their children. No, they will not listen and that wolfs snout will drip with the blood of their children. River |

River~ The deception that adventist elementary schools propagate on the unsuspecting "evangelicals" cannot be overstated! Many do not use the word "adventist" on the school sign! I know about this "up close and personal"! since I taught in one of the largest adventist elementary schools on the West Coast! I must admit I taught there "after" I knew better! Be that as it may, I can only hope and pray that GOD in His Mercy might use the "seeds" I believe He wanted planted in that "dark" place~ I, unintentionally, caused quite a "stir" with several "evangelical" parents, who innocently enrolled their children in that school, and the children were assigned to my classroom. The children came home telling their parents things that other teachers and students told them about the "seventh day sabbath" etc~ The parents wanted a clarification from me~ so I gave it to them! "Shock and Awe" on the parents faces! I told them that in "my" classroom their children were NOT taught adventist doctrine~ I even went so far as to tell them I attended a local "Sunday" Church! There is much more I could write, but suffice it to say, one of the families withdrew their child, the other family stayed. I, on the other hand, had a very rough year with the administration of the school, and at the end of the school year~"retired"! My conscience could no longer justify teaching in an adventist school when I had renounced the doctrine ! GOD is Merciful and Faithful! ~mj~ |

The SDA school in Hilo is called Hilo Christian Academy, or something similar. But, it's kind of oblivious as it.is at the SDA church grounds. But, it could be that alot of people don't associate the two thinking maybe the school is independent and rent the classroom facilities from the SDA |

What I was writing about is explained in Ephesians 6:12 But no, there is no indication that it is an Adventist school on the signs. River |

River, yes. You are completely right. The SDA "Christian" school deception is one of their facades that makes me the most upset...it seduces Christians in an age when public schools have more and more "issues". Sending kids to SDA schools is NOT better than public school. It's more dangerous, because the deception cannot be examined clearly or spoken about. Colleen |

These signs went up this summer. I'm thinking they got their school started within the last year. I put what I wrote up on facebook, but thought the bit about the blood dripping from the wolfs snout was a little heavy, and since probably just no one would tie it in to Ephesians 6:12. I even have to keep reminding my own self that its not flesh and blood we are up against, yet this cannot be over stated. Its not about anything people do with deliberation to deceive, it is the spiritual forces that have taken captive. It's really hard for most people to connect what the human does to what the spiritual forces do, but Paul makes this very clear. I know that sometimes people think I am being brutal when I am looking at the spiritual forces behind the deception. Principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (super natural Sphere), and it is manifested into the material world we can see, feel, or hear. If you argue with an Adventist, you don't get far because it is simply not reasonable to argue with demonic forces, and that is what is pulling the strings. In the near future I want to write about these spiritual forces. I am about done with my last book, and I don't think I want to write any more fiction. I want to use what I have learned in writing fiction to write about the things of God. For a few years I was involved with a church where the pastor had a deliverance ministry, and I want to get back to those basics. God didn't train me in a deliverance ministry to write fiction, and entertain. Paul didn't write Ephesians 12 to entertain and awe the early churches, and God didn’t reveal these things to Paul so he could go Oh Wow! God wants us equipped to deal with this stuff. River |

I attended both SDA and public schools growing up. It was at Monterey Bay Academy the first time I ever was exposed to an Ouija Board and Terroit cards and other asserted occult stuff. I told the assistant dorm marm and she told me that was because satan already had the public school kids is his snare so he focused his energy on people, including kids who had the truth hoping to lure them away from eternal life . I told my parents and they told me i could switch back to my public school so I did. |

River, you know that I completely understand and agree with you about the spiritual forces behind Adventism, and I always appreciate that you "get it" and bring it up sometimes. I fear sometimes that I will seem like a "screaming-mimi" when I talk about the spirit behind Adventism, but I know it is true. Adventism is very dark; it was formed and shaped by evil. Nothing else can explain the seamless way the complexity of Adventism fits together and, in one brilliant deception, teaches its victims a false nature of man, a false nature of Jesus, a false tri-theistic trinity, a false seal of God, a false mark of the beast, and satan as the final sin-bearer. It is truly dark. Colleen |

The longer I am out of adventism and the more I read the Bible, the more I realize how dark adventism is. Thank awesome God for taking me out of it. Diana |

I think the connection between Adventism and Masons is undeniable since many of the photos show the people (including White) with showing the sign of the hidden hand very plainly. My Dad, two of his brothers, and my youngest brother were Masons, another even darker sect than Adventism. I was visiting with my youngest brother, and I was sitting on his back porch. Visiting vacations get busy, pull our minds off the Lord, and I was catching up on a little prayerful Bible reading. My brother asks, "What are you reading? "My Bible." I answered. He says, "I can show you another way." I knew he was going to try to pull me into the Masons. I just said, "No thanks. Jesus will do." Just as Colleen says, It was formed and shaped by evil. I have it in mind to try and write something for the forum to try and help exiting Adventists to be a little better prepared to deal with their people. River |

Well River, here’s a perplexity of mine you might attempt to address: There is only one SDA cousin who has responded to me since I sent out my faith story to the family several years ago. Basically, He claims he understands and agrees with me on the things that I see as being wrong with Adventism. Yet, he claims things ‘have changed’ and that I’m really more of ‘an Adventist’ in belief than I realize. What he is saying is that I don’t really understand what SDAs teach. The issue appears to center on our respective understanding of what constitutes the ‘inspired’ word of God. Anyway, more recently we have emailed back and forth but it ended when I insisted that we use the Bible and nothing else. Fearless Phil |

I think we are only perplexed when we fail to realize that we are dealing with spirits that pull the strings of the human puppets. How many times have we heard the line, 'you don't really understand what SDA's teach, about a cajillion? The devil won't 'use the Bible and nothing else' he always has to use another 'else'. If he uses the Bible at all, it is too quote half scripture or scripture out of context. You cannot argue with demonic beings and find honesty, it is impossible for them to be honest. River |

Well River, I did ask and you did answer and you are right, but... I do understand who I'm really dealing with. Perhaps I'm really asking for prayer support. Lives are at stake and this cousin is the head of the only major part of my family who are still active SDA. Fearless Phil |

Phil, praying for you also. It is sobering when we face fully the reality that in dealing with Adventism, we're dealing not with people but with spiritual powers of darkness who are deceiving the people to whom we talk. God is faithful; He has already defeated and humiliated Satan and his minions, but we have to willing to know he is still at work, and we have to stay anchored tightly in Jesus and to His word. While we are eternally secure when we are born again, we can still be distracted away from the center of truth and reality: the gospel of the Lord Jesus as revealed to us in His word—and we can be caught up in deceptive arguments. Paul warned against this temptation in 1 Timothy 1 and Titus 1. We can't take them on as having logical arguments that can be logically discussed. They are deceptions arising out of the domain of darkness rather than from the kingdom of God's beloved Son. Colleen |

Thanks River, Diana & Colleen, Since I last emailed him with the challenge to only use the bible he hasn't responded to this theme but has emailed me concerning economic and political topics. This is kind of strange because I have posted a number of provocative things on my Facebook wall which he and all my other SDA cousins totally ignore. I had one uncle who was both a Mason and SDA. They wanted.to recruit my dad into the Masons and my dad refused. Then they tried using me to convince my dad to join the Masons saying I'd be a great Rainbow Girl,.etc. Didn't work. My dad.kept his integrity. |

My dad was once a Mason but I do not know when he left but he would never even mention it. I remember when I was little they would sponsor the circus coming to town and he would get me tickets. When they moved mom found his old books and pitched them. Mason just do not go after sda's but also any christian they can. River, I hope you get going on your new book soon. In the mean time there is a book I read when sda. It is a novel about the dark forces of evil and it sure opened my eyes and helped me to understand. The book was written by a christian writer who mainly wrote childrens christian novels. If anyone is interested the book is "This Present Darkness' by Frank Peretti. Gail |

I have read most, if not all, of Frank Peretti's books! I began reading them when I was on my way "out" of adventism! I recommend them ! to "older" children (10 and over) teens, and yes, adults! ~mj~ |
