http://www.lastempire.com.au/web/ Today we received a 4-page promotional booklet with the rest of the 'junk mail' advertising the above. They've certainly become more media savvy lately! |

Our little community paper here in California is "blitzed" weekly with food seminars @ the local "Lifestyle/Health Centers" which is what the SDA churches are calling themselves now. What you posted is much more polished, though! Many people are going to be intrigued by the topic & sophisticated artwork. |

"Discover REAL hope for the future" Yikes! This is why I never invited any of my friends to Revelation Seminars....I was still looking for the "real hope" I'm so grateful I have found it! |

Hi Markus, I'm guessing you are in Sydney. I am in Perth. I agree the SDAs are getting more media savvy. No doubt these "real truth" seminars will be rolled out around the country. |

Punababe, I thank God that my family were able to migrate here from England in the 70's. Australia is a beautiful country and we enjoy a very good standard of living. Unfortunately it has been built on racism and the attempted genocide of the original peoples so I am very involved in advocating for human rights and I hope to join my church's Aboriginal outreach program. |

Yes, I'm in Sydney. Since my first post they have put the same brochure in the mailbox 3 times, taken a half-page advertisement in the newspaper, and included it in an insert in the local paper. Have never seen such a saturated advertising campaign for what essentially looks like the old school prophecy seminar! |

Cazperth, Hello & welcome to FAF forum. Our eldest DD went to school in Freemantle, at Murdoch University, as a foreign exchange student. So we have been to Freemantle & Perth. So glad you are finding your way out of sdaism! Markus, glad you are here too! My husband has cousins in Sydney NSW, who have been horrified forever because my husbands mother had become sda. They knew enough about egw even back in the 1970s to wonder out loud how we could believe she was a prophet of God, rather than a brain damaged woman who could hardly write a coherant sentence & had to have secretaries fix her writing. |

I am glad to see those who are leaving SDA. I see that people have been leaving by the groves and I think that is why the blitz advertising of their seminars. Have you ever noticed when the news spouts doom and gloom that SDA's are right there with the answers? They get their seminars a goin'. Gail |

I never saw this verse before today....(yet it is underlined!) Luke 21:8..."Watch out that that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming I am He, and the time is near. Do not follow them." |

What I like to do when I get brochures like this, if there is a phone number on it, is to call the number on it and ask who is sponsoring this seminar. That happened to me about 4 years ago. I called and asked my question. I was told it was a Christian church. My reply was, do not lie to me. I am a former SDA and I recognize SDA doctrine when I see it. She denied it every way she could until she finally admitted it was SDA. Have to admit, it was fun making that phone call. Diana |

Oh, Diana, good for you! It's beyond upsetting that they lie about their identity. I had a phone call yesterday from a woman who, with her husband, is just leaving Adventism after being sucked in through their evangelism. And guess what their first approach was? A cooking school! Yes, after being sucked in through a vegetarian cooking school, they were then ushered over to a revelation seminar, and the rest is history. Now, four years later, after giving The Great Controversy to their kids, their D and SIL did some online research and discovered the truth about EGW. This couple is disoriented and overwhelmed, but convicted. They are so distraught that the woman became sick and was completely bed-ridden for two weeks and is just beginning to be back on her feet. And guess how she found "us"? She was online, trying to figure out where it was safe to go to church (she lives in MI), and she found Phil Bubar and The Chapel in St Joseph. Turns out St. Joe is too far away for them to drive, but she called the church and talked to Phil. He was so compassionate to her, is sending her some Proclamations and a couple of Dale's books, and gave her our phone number. I sent her some online links to study, put them on the mailing list, and just generally listened and encouraged her that she is not alone. I encouraged her and her husband to apply for accounts for this forum, because they feel completely isolated. Of course! But there you have it: a prime example of people who are Christians but perhaps baby Christians (they had grown up Catholic but the woman had met Jesus through a Christian friend), and they were totally deceived by the SDA evangelism. God is faithful, though. He Knows His own sheep, and they hear His voice! Colleen |

That is an awesome happening, Colleen! Hallelujah! I just saw a large billboard from the freeway this morning--I'm almost sure it's a SDA Revelation seminar...something like "openyoureyes.com"...will check it out tomorrow. Punababe, God had a hand in moving us to Yucaipa, CA...& I had never heard of FAF or Proclamation, either. I couldn't go to a SDA church anymore, with what I knew (the tip of the iceberg, actually), but was too afraid to go to a church that met on Sunday. So, I went nowhere until one day I told God that I was SO lonely & needed Christian fellowship. Soon after that I "happened" to find a magazine online that I did not know existed! Isn't God awesome? (Credit to Diana for imprinting that phrase in my mind!) All I can say os that it's just wonderful really learning the truth about God & the Bible.... |

Here's one of the SDA churches: http://yucaipacenterforhealth.adventistfaith.org/ The bright red letters say Health Center--they finally added SDA church to the front. The crosses were there already as they bought this from Christian church. |

Around eight years ago I accompanied my.mom to s SDA "health seminar". Hoping to not offend anyone on here with foul language let me just say it was the most stupid waste of time and money imaginable. There was nothing healthy bring taught. The teacher was full of misinformation. She knew nothing about the value of exercise . She had no clue about artificial colors, flavors, mag or any.of that. She didn't know what I was referring to when I mentioned integrated medicine. She actually insisted ham was the.meat.highest in fat and that's why God told the Israelites to not eat.pork.. It wad awful. Several people never came back after the first few classes and.it was an eight week course. |

The Yucaipa Center for Health is accomplishing exactly what satan had planned. Of course people will be attracted to a place that meets their needs through food baskets and nutrition. (I've rarely tasted nutritious and delicious SDA food, however...) The concluding statement, "This health center is the strong arm of God to lead souls to the feet of Jesus," actually exposes their true motive. It's not about health and nutrition, or helping the needy at all. It's ALL about recruiting people to the SDA denomination. Feet of Jesus = Adventism in their worldview. How horrific are the deceptions of the enemy and how blessed I feel that God pulled our family out! |

Lyrical, 'lead people to the feet of Jesus' is an interesting choice of phrase. More like UNDER his feet when His enemies become a footstool. |
