About 6 years ago when my boy was 7 years old, he was attending the youth sabbath class, and the focus was on the sanctuary message. It was explained to the class that all Jesus did was to end the sacrificial system, but that the law was still in effect. My boy brought the lesson to the logical conclusion and expressed so in class that "Jesus saves sheep" His teacher was so mad, because he distilled the entire convoluted lesson into to those three words. Isn't this the truth, that the sda Jesus saves critters, not people. Of course we know better, that we have a Savior by whose stripes we are healed, by his blood we are cleansed, and by his resurrection we live. Thank you Jesus! and God Bless, Chris |

Christo~ What a discerning son, GOD gave you! IMO~ adventists just do not read their Bibles~ I know that I didn't read it very often when I was an adventist~ And even when I did and I was not able to grasp what the verses meant because, I was NOT "born-again-of-the-Spirit" When GOD in His mercy removed the "scales" from my eyes, then & only then, could I even begin to understand chapters of Scripture~ One of the chapters that especially "spoke" to my thirsty soul was 1John 5:11-15~ where among other promises, it tells us that as, "Believers", in the Son of GOD, we may "KNOW" we are Saved! It is not a future event! It is heart-breaking to me that most, if not all, adventists just cannot accept that it is ALL about what JESUS did~ not what we "do-do"~ ~mj~ (Message edited by mjcmcook on August 19, 2012) |
